stric9 Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Hello Someone on another forum was kind enough to mod my bios.. First they nodded the original fd file. I tried to flash it with insyde flash. It tried but then came back with a write error, and I tried to do an emergency flash. Tried every combination of buttons, esc+ fn gets the fans to come on like it's doing something but nothing changes. Then I pulled my bios with fptw, and had the bin file modded. Unfortunately I got the dreaded error 28, and that's where I'm stuck. I used the Windows version and the dos version ,same results. With prr.exe it Said it was ready but still the same error... and with prr2 I get I've been working on this for too long to give up, and there has to be away to get by this. Ive notice that some laptops you can bypass the security check by pressing fn+ left, right arrow key. If any one knows of a key combination or another way to flash this please help.
