anhdvu
After messing around with eGPU and with a lot of great helps from Tech Inferno Fan, I have finally been able to get my Radeon R9 270 to work with Lenovo y470. Sorry for a mess of cables in the background. Here is GPU-Z info and proof showing that external screen is powered by eGPU. It is noted that without load, GPU-Z shows "x1 1.1", it'd show "x1 2.0" under load (WMP is enough to make it show 2.0). I haven't done a lot of benchmarks. I only have results of 3dmark06 and 3dmark11. I fell asleep while doing RE5 benchmark so I will update later. 3DMARK06: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i5-2410M Processor 3DMARK11: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i5-2410M Processor I think these results are a bit low and the reason could be my CPU and, very likely, RAM. lapinuelle
Great job! Could you please do a little review how you actually build this? I have Lenovo z570 and there is only mPCI-e slot too. So, your experience would be great for me!Thnx in advance!
