I've been meaning to do this for months. Since my mbp broke and is in for repairs I finally had the will to do it- thanks to all on these forums for all the info I received.

Running a EVGA GTX970 SSC inside a coolermaster elite130 case with akitio thunder2 board, powered riser cable, and 750w power supply. Nice and clean now, no more cables hanging out all over the place.

Mounting akitio case frame with double sided sticky tape just so I have something to screw the board onto- yes I took a grinder to it and cut out all but the base and rear (where the ports go).

Everything mounted- quick power up test.

Back of case where I left the ports.

This one just because I like the way it looks.

Finished. Just need a longer thunderbolt cable than the one akitio provided. I'll pick that up when I pick up my computer :)

Correct. I'm going to cover the hole underneath and on the rear so you can't see that and make a mount to sit in there and hold the cable in place.

I couldn't find a riser with the correct direction- every sellers idea of what was "mounts left" or "right" was different from another - so that was just kinda a decision I made on the fly. Also there didn't seem to be any sellers in the states. Everything was overseas and wouldn't get here until June lol

Sure, should be totally fine. Especially because the Elite 130 is not a 100$ case [emoji4]

My thoughts exactly. I had zero concerns while the sparks flew. [emoji16]

I'll post another pic when I've finished making it pretty

Hello! I'm planning to bring Elite 130 and everything seems to be clear, beside one question. How to connect it's power button, located on front of the box?
As I know, usually in cases, small wire connecting button to the motherboard...
