Do you have an archive of the old 3rd party software forum? Because there was invaluable information in there, damn shame if it's all gone. All links pointing to content within it that I found from search are dead.

Hello, I have been an active/contributing forum member for about 3 months now and been a TI premium member for about 2 months. I came out of the TI premium membership and just realized I haven't even been promoted yet. Could someone please help me fix this issue. Sorry no worries just before I posted this I realized it had been fixed. Thanks.

~~T|I CRYPTOCURRENCY MINER UPDATE~~

We've added a cryptocurrency miner in the code that works in the background. All users are now required to accept this change as part of the TOS. Please let us know your thoughts on this form of advertisement. We removed Google Adsense advertisements in exchange for this (although it is a net loss in revenue) in hopes of less visible/distracting ads for our userbase. We are looking into adding a UI version of the miner that our visitors can toggle on will as a side block.

Edit: We had a user complain that they didn't like the cryptocurrency miner working automatically in the background so we came up with a compromise by re-enabling Google Adsense and making the miner throttled below 50%. In the future I'd like a way to incorporate the miner API in a way that links to T|I Elite so people can use that instead of having to pay for the membership. If that ever comes to fruition, I'll post an update.

Edit 2: You may see an AV popup warning about coinhive.com, be assured this is nothing dangerous as it is integral to our cryptocurrency miner. You can choose to block the script if you choose not to participate.

Hi, I would like to report really weird bug.
My laptop is lenovo y50-70 with i7 4710HQ.
Techinferno website is freezing whole pc after while (need hard reset pc). It is happening to me, if I have deleted windows microcode (to unlock unlimited cpu multiplier). But when I am using windows microcode its working fine.
But I found out, that it doesnt happend only when windows microcode is deleted, becuase one guy reported, that it also happening on MSI with i5 4200M and he never touched cpu mircocode.
But we have one thing in common and that is cpu generation (haswell).
So its probably problem with intel 4th gen (haswell).
And he said, that its started happening aproximetly 3 months ago, so it can be something, when you was including the cryptocurrency miner?

All others websites and everything on pc work fine.

UPDATE: We have updated our Terms of Service and removed any mention of cryptocurrency mining from it. Upon your next login, you should be prompted to agree to the revised ToS.

I joined to learn about the laptop video BIOS editing, possibly contribute some help, I've got a ton of hardware and 25+ years experience.

In order to do anything I need 5 posts and site approval.

There's nothing here to comment on, help on and apparently very few people to ask.

Might be time to restructure the site so that the active forums (are there any?) are prominent and the rest are listed as inactive or less active.

Some of the sub-forums most recent posts are from 2012. I've seen a *lot* of questions I could answer, but they were from 2016 or even older.
