Lee. Posted November 24, 2015 Share Posted November 24, 2015 I iherited an Alienware 17 from a friend, as he had replaced it with a different brand and didn't require it any more. One evening, I finished using it - powered it down and put it under the bed. When I powered it up the next day, a white screen! But windows was working away in the background. External display confirmed this. Did some rearch online which discussed issues. Determind might be a faulty cable / connect on back of screen. Dismantled screen, reseated cable. Re-assembled screen.
