You need to de-solder the old chip, program a new chip and solder it to the board.

Desolder without hot air:

Solder:

Model of the vBIOS Chip: GigaDevice GD25Q20

Chip model and size: SOP8-150MIL (256kb)

Full dump file to program the new Chip attached

Location of the vBIOS Chip:

Chip programmer available from your location (order with DIP8 to SOP8 adapter) :

Nano USB Programmer for PC M B BIOS Repairing with Economic Shipping | eBay

GOOD LUCK! :)

Hello Prema and thanks for the links!

Quick question : is there any specific soldering iron model that you recommend in terms of size of tip + temperature required to do the job?

thank you.
