Looks like you are flashing in windows try creating a bootable DOS USB Flash drive and flash that way.

You can use Rufus to create a MS-DOS bootable usb drive. Just make sure the option (Create a bootable disk using " is set to MS-DOS.

Extract your flash files to the newly created DOS usb drive, then boot your machine. Press F7 at machine startup and select the USB device. Then follow the instructions included in the Vbios.

Hopefully you'll be able to flash a working Vbios.

The vBIOS chip on your card just seems a bit flacky…

Try the normal Mod version NVFLASH a couple more times all it needs is a single successful write...

Check your GPU for physical damage of one of the tiny resistor.

[Not the vBIOS generates the board HWID (which is apparently missing) but the resistor setup on the MXM board...]

EDIT: Do you always get this exact value?:

Mismatch at offset 0x00000000 – Expected value: 0x4E – Read back: 0x06

The first 476 bytes of your flash chip may be locked or not working correctly. We could make a vBIOS that only begins after that...

Try this version which will force the entire chip to be re-written:

So let me explain more:

First- i failed with your mod and restored with your stock rom << this was successful

after i used svl0's vbios mod(with mnvflash) and it was successful. but after rebooting it gives error from bios, which beep 22 times with full-fan and force shutdown.

i gave another try with your moded vbios, and failed. after this failing, i cant restore to stock rom also.

what should i do from now?

If the svl7 version caused this then try to use that nvflash to restore it with any of the stock or Mod versions.

From what I can see from the logs your vBIOS chip is unable to read the first 476 bytes of the chip.

One possible scenario would be to make a special Mod which skips these broken sectors...

The funny thing is i was succeeded at rom flashing with your program 3hrs ago.

after that success, Tried to overclock - BAM - bluescreen!

And... yeah. rom is broken again as i firstly wrote.

What the f*ck? How can this happen?!?!?!

The crash may simply have been caused by an unstable overclock

It can not throttle on Clevo systems with my vBIOS Mod unless the card reached 92, just make sure to also use the latest IntelGPU driver.

I tried 50 times from now.

Yup. Same error again and again.

Any other ways to solve this sh*t?

there is, we can always just send you the vbios chip to solder on, its actually very easy to do, if your a steady hand or especially easy if you learnt to solder professionally.

I am certain there are places you can ship it to, to have it done for you, rather cheap too. Anyways, you might not even need to, some places can flash the card without removing the chip even haha.

(Love Prema, he is so clever...)

Anyways, Iron, where did you buy the Videocard ?

Does it use the Hynix NAND or Samsung ? Is it Blue or Green PCB ?

Are the Capacitors smooth and glossy or rough and edgy with almost a see through circle(the caps underneath the insulation)?

I have heard very few complaints about 970M or 980M from any vendor anywhere really. I have yet to return a single one of either, out of thousands sold. Unbelievably reliable, so that's why I ask. I am curious if only the north American ones are good or if the ones from China are good too.

Well, that sounds like the same kind Sold by the better vendors in North America. Rare to hear of such an issue with these. Make me paranoid now, to quadruple check them all now, but I was looking at like 5 of them the otherday, and they all seemed so damn identical, and flawless.

I would return it to where ever you bought it from, and ask them for a new one. If the vbios chip is faulty, its still probably their fault, and they wouldn't be able to prove much, with the chip being faulty, they're have to hook up to it, or cut it off (or desolder it, lol) and check it on another card.

Most likely, you would be more then safe getting the exact same card replaced by the same vendor too. I'd put money on it being okay, unless you bought it from China, or one of those vendors that sell refurbished stuff. (there are people out there that only sell things they fixed, and sell them for really high margins of profit. They're the only cards like your describing, that I have heard of to date having issues, they get these cards because some vendors test them, before selling, and if they are no good they sell them as scrap or return them to where they came from. Somehow, these scavengers get them. Same thing with those Engineering Sample CPU's, though, those are also considered stolen tech, by INTEL.)
