So why does nVidia set the basic clock to 590 Mhz if (even without the voltage mod) 770 works great with MSI Afterburner?

Because not every laptop with that GPU has the same cooling efficiency like M14x and of course they want to maximize stabily and minimize RMAs

"How hot does the CPU get for you guys during these tests?"

Hi and sorry for the delay. My max temp with "no overclocking" was 96° Celsius. With overclocking (4 cores at 2,66 ghz) the maximum I was getting was 98°.

The GPU got a maximum of 81°C with overclocking to GPU Clock = 850mhz; Memory Clock= 1200mhz; Shader Clock=1700mhz; Volt=0.912. Even if I can push it a little more, these settings work stable for me. (About 40 Points less than the maximum I got).

Hope this helps you.

No worries!

Yeah this helps me, I was wondering cause I reached 96 Celsius max on my CPU the other day with bios A05 and wasn't sure if that was normal but it seems you're getting the same temps without overclocking. :)

Thank you,

//Enfore

There are some impressive scores here, especially the P2000+ score by neko...!! I'd love to see some vantage for a change, would be interesting to see how well the card performs at DX10.

Hi,

I am trying to get a decent score right now, but the benchmark keeps giving me errors. 3DMark 2006 is even more unstable. I get blue screens, even with no overclocking :S

Will update this post later :)

Other than 3dmark06 which bench is also giving you bsod? Try this make sure all of these are up to date on your system here: http://forum.techinferno.com/pc-gaming/323-you-need-these-trouble-free-gaming.html

make sure you have the latest drivers for all the hardware GPUS and all from Dell website... if all those are fine try running this app here called who crashed: http://forum.techinferno.com/microsoft-windows/480-software-services-make-our-life-easier.html

open Whocrashed and post the results in a post here so we can help or create a new help thread either way we need to see why you are getting the BSOD's. If it says its because of a graphics card driver or file try installing a different one

Hi and thanks. The problem is solved. Turns out that the CPU was at 100°C and the system automatically shuts down. For some reason 3DMark 2006 gave blue screens.

After setting the Fan to 100% in HWINFO and connecting a Notebook Cooler it worked fine :)

I have a request for a moderator or admin: Can you please delete my Scores in 3dMark 11 (all of them). I will upload later one for 2011 and Vantage and well its normal that I if I can get the first place, I can also get the second and third place. I don't want to fill up the board. BTW is it possible to allow only one score (the highest one) per user, so that every user is only one time in the list?

If you click Forms -> Form Results you should be able to delete or edit your own scores.

It is fine if you leave older scores as well since you can compare performance for instance with same clocks but different drivers (tha's why a screenshot or link to the score is necessary)

Holy cow! Nekogins getting really high GPU scores, Very impressive! Im wondering about the 3gb version a little too, particularly with its overclocking capabilities, Perhaps it can get a little more oomph. I would post more but i havent been able to break my old score. But if i find some crazy performance breakthrough you guys will be the first to hear.

Hi,

your old score uses 1000mhz in memory. You could try to increase it. Mine worked fine with 1300, so I guess 1200 should work for you. As CPU Clock you could raise from 835 to 850mhz.

Can you also post 3d Mark vantage and 2006 Scores?

Finally a new score :)

Did you install the Modified and Unlocked A05 Bios with the VMod for the GPU? And what GPU drivers are you using?

With an increased Memory Clock you should easily pass P2000. I hope that you can pass P2100, that would be great :)

Yup.. I've the Unlocked A05 Bios with the VMod for the GPUS installed..

I'm using the 285.62 Driver; any recommendation for a better driver out there? This version seem to work ok with the current overclock.

Target goal is to pass 2100 and hopefully with the Kingston's memory and an increased Memory Clock will allow me to do it with ease...

Be sure to use HWiNFO64 to manually set your fan to maximum. I got the same drivers as you and it is working fine so far.

Can't wait to see another benchmark of you. When do you think you can make one?

Where did you go to set the fan to maximum with HWinFO64 and which program did you use to increase the Memory Clock? I can probably do another benchmark today while I'm working. Thanks in advance for the help.

Nevermind.. I overlooked something with Inspector... hahaha.. Forgot I can unlock Max with the program.

Great work, very impressive... the only higher scores I've seen so far were those from Nekojin. You should be able to beat him, you got a slightly better CPU.

You can upload your scores here, this allows for an easy comparison between the different users, overclocks and hardware.
