First here some Benchmarks from K3100M/K4100M/K5000M from my GT70 Haswell.

And with 1GHz the K5000M makes 8250 Points.

The GTX880M of a Friend in a Alienware makes 8350 Points.

This is not extremly overclocked, the Boost Clock of the GTX880M with the same GK104 Chip makes 993MHz.

For 50MHz i don`t need GPU Boost.

The Quadro Cards are very undercklocked,600MHz like a K4000M is nothing for a Keplerchip.

The GTX 670MX and GTX 675MX are also very undercklocked, they also work with 600MHz.

The K4100M is not a GTX 780M,it is a GTX680M

The K5100M is a GTX 780M.

You can`t flash the K4100M with GTX 680M Vbios and K5100M with GTX 780M Vbios because the Card ID is not in the Vbios.

The Quadro Cards have it on the Board, they have different Combination of Resistors for it.

If you flash the Card with the GTX Vbios nothing change, the Device Manager still shows KxxxxM and the Card don`t work.

I paid for the K3100M 129€,for the K4100M 150€, for the K5000M 200€ and for the K5100M 250€.

This are cheap Cards for this Power.

Of course You are right,a HD7970M is a very fast Card.

And You are lucky with the Flash of the Card.

For People like You and me this is a easy Thing, but for People without Expiriences it is a high Mountain.

For them it is easier to use a Kepler Card with the old Heatsink from the GTX 670M with a little more Thermal Pads.

My first Choise for Upgrading is Quadro M or GTX MX.

Herzliche Grüße aus Leverkusen
