Erich86
I use my system normally, not much is installed but this problem occurred in the first couple of days of usage. My system is:2820QM16gb kingston hyperx 1600mhz240gb ssd750gb normal hd6970m x2 crossfireblu-ray readerThe issue is that from times to times the system seems to freeze and the only thing I'm able to move around is the mouse, after like 10 or 20 seconds it goes back into normal.Any ideas? Thanks. Founder Michael Posted June 28, 2011 Founder Share Posted June 28, 2011 You need a LPM fix. Bet your SSD is OCZ Vertex, right ? LPM Fix : 1. Create a text file called LPM.reg (make sure file extension is reg and not .reg.txt) 2. paste the following into that file : Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port0]"LPM"=dword:00000000"LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000"DIPM"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port1]"LPM"=dword:00000000"LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000"DIPM"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port2]"LPM"=dword:00000000"LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000"DIPM"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port3]"LPM"=dword:00000000"LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000"DIPM"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port4]"LPM"=dword:00000000"LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000"DIPM"=dword:00000000[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\iaStor\Parameters\Port5]"LPM"=dword:00000000"LPMDSTATE"=dword:00000000"DIPM"=dword:00000000 3. Save and double click on the file. 4. Reboot. 5. Enjoy a freeze free system
