Thank you in advance.Hi LightningPL,I ve a quite similar problem here. I ve bought a quadro k5100m for a clevo p170sm /pc scpecialist vortex iv from ebay. The seller said the card had to work with clevo p170sm. I have already email them about my issue, but havent got answer yet.The bios cant see the card at all, it says "unknown". I have flashed the bios of the laptop, but didnt help. The OS boots, I dont have problem with that. Checked the card with GPU-Z, that sees the card, but only with 3gb of mem. Tried to install a driver with modified .inf, but that was not successful. The vbios version is 80.04.C9.00.04.Did you have an luck to make it works since your last post? LightningPL
Hi,Unknown information in BIOS is normal, don't panic. Yes already my card is working in CLEVO P370SM and P570WM , I didn't checked in P17X0SM. VBIOS change did a work, try: stock CLEVO K5100M VBIOS. What I heard that K5100M can make some problems to run it properly on P1X0SM series. My card has 8GB GDDR5 of memory. It runs very good without any modding drivers.CLEVOK5100M.zip
Guest
YES the vBIOS Lightning posted above will work just fine (IRC we tested it together a while back)...(HP cards expect another vBIOS in sBIOS, thus they are useless on their stock HP vBIOS in other systems.) Hi Lightning, At the end I was able to install a modified driver, but I had to turn off a windows a protection first (please see that in the video below), which didnt allow me to a driver coming from an untrusted publisher. Many thanks Istvan --- MOD EDIT: Removed email
deadsmiley
Have you run any benchmarks on this? 3DMark 11 and Firestrike are of interest to me.
Kramgoagubbar
Hi guys,Does anyone by any chance have the same hardware ID on their K5100M as I? PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11B8&SUBSYS_176C103C&REV_A1Bought the card and it worked beautifully, but I was slightly annoyed over that the nVIDIA drivers would not install without adding the hardware string to the .inf, so I set out to find another firmware without realizing that the hardware ID will not change with a firmware change.Short story, even shorter. Found a few images, flashed them. Did not improve my situation so reverted back to the original ROM that was backed up at the first flash. It should be 80.04.B0.00.09 originally unless I messed up and somehow mixed up the roms.Found a Dell rom, 80.04.C9.00.02. No picture at boot, only when drivers activate the card a signal is received. Also a HP rom, 80.04.C4.00.06. Not better.Flashed with nvflash -4 -5 -6 filename.rom (attempted flashing with -j as well as "this allows flashing a corrupted or erased EEPROM")Now the card behaves oddly when booting the HP 8770w docked, no picture on the external DP connected monitors unless I open and close the laptop lid. And nVIDIA mosaic will not function at all. Just says "firmware error, most certainly". It did work before since I used that feature, so pretty sure I screwed it up.If you do have the same ROM, pretty please, make a backup with nvflash or GPUz and post here.Or do you guys have any tricks with nvflash (using 5.163) , possibly some other parameters I might not be aware of that needs to be added as well to write over certain information.Thanks. Takaezo
10DE-11B8, Are the vBios's for the K5100m's the same as those for the K5000m.....was looking for an unlocked slightly updated K5000m to tryout. I have one that I am using now but has only Two timings available to adjust via the Nvidia control panel. Just want to try another OC. Thanks in advance

agi
I recently purchased a Sager NP9752-S (Clevo P750ZM) laptop. And separately on eBay, a Quadro K5100M. This, of course, does not have the Clevo VBIOS. It seems to boot into Windows and behave properly (although haven't done much testing). The issue I have, is that you cannot access the computer BIOS. I am thinking that the BIOS checks for the graphics card to have the Clevo VBIOS, and since it doesn't, it will not even let you into BIOS setup (goes straight into Windows). Does this sound right? Guest
LOL...nope...In UEFI mode the system sometimes boots too fast for F2 to register and enter the BIOS...in this case the chances to enter BIOS with F2 during a reboot are better.
agi
LOL...nope...In UEFI mode the system sometimes boots too fast for F2 to register and enter the BIOS...in this case the chances to enter BIOS with F2 during a reboot are better. So the laptop originally came with a K1100M. When I power it up, I see the BIOS splash screen that has the "Sager" logo and F2 (Setup) and F7 (Boot Options) indications. But if I put the K5100M into it, it goes straight to Windows.
Guest
The system boots straight to Window if it is installed and set to UEFI mode. F2 and F7 options only show in Legacy (non-UEFI) mode.To enter the BIOS in UEFI mode it is best to reboot from Windows and keep F2 pressed, this gives the system more time to enter BIOS than a full boot from zero. twistt
Hey LightningPL,Do you by any chance have the original BIOS from your graphics card saved? It so happened that I have a DELL graphics card (K5100m), but wants to use it in an HP 8770W laptop. The system doesn't recognise the card at all. I hope to flash the card with your bios and see if it helps.Cheers a lot.Pawel

!Inferno
I have a Clevo P770-ZM with the k5100m. Do you know if this vBIOS would work? If not, would you happen to have one that would work? Thanks Hi everyone, Does anyone have a vBIOS for the Quadro K5100M for the P770-ZM? I recently bought an HP K5100m from amazon, but I've heard that it wouldn't work on the Clevo unless the vBIOS is changed to a p770-zm k5100m vBIOS. Many thanks

!Inferno
I removed the Geforce 980m and replaced it with the K5100M in my Clevo P770-ZM The card worked right away without having to modify anything. The K5100M was an HP card bought off Amazon.
