Currently on a 740qm.Is throttle stop easy to use any guides and clock speeds relating to throttle stop?I am looking to get a 2.8-3.2 overclock but steady with no fluctuations. mw86 Posted July 26, 2014 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Using stock volts not even an overvolt on the cpu should allow 3.2ghz 8thread just fine only loads that drop it down would be a load from prime 95 etc. No games put a load on the cpu like that so yes you could see 3.2ghz steady no fluctuations on the 920xm in games. Spunky424 Posted July 26, 2014 Share Posted July 26, 2014 I've noticed upgrading from a 720m to a 920xm my framerates while gaming have improved noticeably once u get throttlestop tuned in, but when i had the 920xm at stock frame rates were worse and very jittery.
