hugepants
With regards to the CPU, I usually go with the 'K' versions, even if I never overclock, because they don't cost much more yet have much better resale value when you upgrade in the future. theta
Same suggestion here - for the small price difference, definitely go with the 4770k. More headroom, better ability to overclock, and about a 10-15% increase for potentially 30-50% more performance.
rhoryno
Yeah looks like an awesome build, i agree with the post above though about getting the K version. Apart from that, enjoy!
Brentnauer
Wow, great build. I'll echo about the K version too but this sounds great otherwise.

Moderator angerthosenear Posted March 9, 2014 Moderator Share Posted March 9, 2014 intel cpu and amd gpu ? it s not a good choiceDoesn't make a difference. Intel and NVidia are different manufacturers and those play fine together. I've had a R9 280X hooked up to my desktop with a i7-4770K with no issues whatsoever.Having a CPU made by one manufacturer and a GPU made by another doesn't hurt anything. z0mbielee
Another vote for the K model, otherwise looks like a solid build I also agree that mixing Intel CPUs and AMD GPUs makes no difference. Done it myself for years before recently switching to NVIDIA due to 780 price cuts being too tempting.
