Lenovo Y410p / Y510p - unlocked BIOS / wlan whitelist mod / vbios mod

This is incredibly valuable information. Lenovo is going to take my Y500 (27th produced) and replace it with the Y510p. I find that there are fewer reported problems on the forums, but I have read that the Y510p has been throttled by Lenovo. I can't find any certain information, but based on what I've read about this modded BIOS I should be able to surpass Lenovo's measures. Two questions remain for me:

First, is it possible to raise the Fans speed?

Second, If I restore the Stock BIOS after I flash the modded one, can Lenovo tell the difference?

Thanks!

Well, I can tell you, my wifi card is not from ebay, and is a legit Intel Card. Everything is working, except sleep, and some boot problems. I would like to see this fixed...When it's possible offcourse;)

Me too, i also have a official Intel Card, and the some problems, but there is 1 thing i noticed, when i start without AC connected and connect it when booting windows, the problem does not occur most of the time.

Can anyone confirm this?

This mod sounds really good, only concerned about the OC tag and this "VBIOS tweaked for more performance and better tuning possibilities". How does this vBios affect my 750m's if I flash it? It's enough hot already :D Does this mod affect the temperature? Also does it fix the windows 8.1 sli bug, or do i have to get the official fix from lenovo. If these already have been answered, then i'm sorry :) tried searching..

Does the newest version of bios support Intel 7260 ac? If so, how to upgrade to the newest version?

I dont think its possible to update the bios on the Lenovo Y510p, because when you go the driver site, it says thats it not needed to update the bios and you cant finde any bios for the Y510p on their site.

The bios have the windows license in it, so its not possible to get a bios from another person as he will be giving you his license.

you can just use the nvida control panel and select the Intel HD 4600 preferred GPU

That only works when i pull the 750 sli out..... how do you select HD graphics when the 750 in. I'm not too found about having a huge hole in my laptop when i need the HD graphics

My SLI is really sluggish for some reason in games like AC4. Like 30fps on the lowest setting with a lot of stuttering.

Will overclocking fix this?

Mine was doing the same thing.

Step 1: unpark your cores.

Step 2: make sure sli is enabled...stupid I know but if you installed new drivers it will disable.

Step 3: make sure physx particles is off

Step 4: turn some settings up. Fxaa, ssao, medium-high other settings. I think what's happening is you are getting poor GPU usage. Probably in the 30-40% range. Crank a couple of these settings up...reboot..try again.

Here is the unpark cores utility

MAKE SURE YOU REBOOT AFTER UNPARKING YOUR CORES
