icemanmelting
Hi all, I was the proud owner of a X7200 up until a few years ago, when I had no use for it anymore, and decided to give it away to a friend because he could use a computer. After approximately 2 years, the GPU died (an HD6990m) and I took it back, since he would throw the computer away anyway, and decided to try and bring the old beast back to life once more. It took a while but after scavenging for parts on ebay, modifying my own heatsinks to fit the 680m, and finding missing cables and components thanks to Eurocom, I can finally say that I now own, a maxed out Clevo X7200! Specs: - Dual 680m in SLI; - Intel Core i7 990x; - 24 GB Ram; - 3x 512 GB SSD in Raid 0; PS: I would love to add pics to the topic, but for some reason the server won't allow me to. PS2: This project actually made me go out of my way to find and do the exact same thing with a Clevo P570WM, which I am currently in the process of getting the last pieces put together!
