Winds 12 Posted November 9, 2013 Is there a version of NVFLASH that works on 64-bit Windows yet? Last time I had to boot from a thumbdrive and having an issue making one bootable at the moment. You shouldn't flash a bios oder Vbios in windows.just download rufus, choose ms-dos start, format and copy dos bios files on it --- ready.64bit Windows flashing is pretty dangerous in imho.
svl7 5702 Posted November 9, 2013 Is there a version of NVFLASH that works on 64-bit Windows yet. Of course, in the first post of this thread... You shouldn't flash a bios oder Vbios in windows. It doesn't make a difference for desktop cards. Well actually it does, it's faster and more convenient
Winds 12 Posted November 9, 2013 It doesn't make a difference for desktop cards. Well actually it does, it's faster and more convenient I destroyed an video card this way, because of an blocking not reacting flasher window, so I decided to not flash in windows anymore. You are the expert, if you say it works well, then it will works well
SkorpioNElite 10 Posted November 11, 2013 I got a problem using the NvFlash 5.141.0.1 DOSI have an AsusGTX 670 OC DirectCU Mini 2GB. But everytime i try to flash the following error occurs.error preserving inforom image.ERROR: Failed to merge Inforom image. As the normal flash doesn't work, I also tried:nvflash --protectoffnvflash bios.rom -4 -5 -6What does this error message mean? svl7 5702 Posted November 11, 2013 Can I take a look at the vbios you're trying to flash?
SkorpioNElite 10 Posted November 12, 2013 As I'm new to this forum don't really know how to send you the files via PN.So I attached them as .zip archive.I tried both files with the same result.GL104.rom is the unaltered version andtest.rom is the altered version I tried (Just changed the fan speed as a test)I saved the Bios file with the newest GPU-Z.But I get the mentioned errorwith both bios files, even with original one.Bios Files.zip
svl7 5702 Posted November 12, 2013 It appears to be an issue with nvflash, I suggest trying a different version.
SkorpioNElite 10 Posted November 14, 2013 I finally got a solution for my problem. One can flash the Asus GTX 670 DC Mini with nvflash after the card is updated to the asus UEFI VBIOS via the update Tool from ASUS homepage.Although the setup checks for an Asus motherboard, there are patched setups available => google
paradogz 10 Posted November 26, 2013 Hello, Everything is ready ! Got my modded bios thanks to Svet's VBIOS Tuner. It's not a big OC it's just a small one to discover GPU OC. 570 -> 820 mhz on the core clock, with stock voltage. Nothing fancy, but it is stable 2 hours on 100% GPU load, thanks to OCCT GPU. I've got the bootable USB that works, and the little bar is blinking, waiting for my fingers to seal the destiny of my GTX570 TF3 ! BUT. I've seen many many different DOS command and I want to know what is the proper one, please ? (i've seen nvlfash -4 -5 -6 *****.rom and nvflash --index=1 -5 -6 ********.rom which one is correct ?) Thank you so much ! PS: yes, i'd rather do it in DOS, personal preference, I'm an old timer para

BigART71 10 Posted October 3, 2014 You should be able to force the flash with -4 if you get that error, but just don't use this option for usual flashes.I was checking out instructions on ***. It said to use the -4 -5 -6. Thanks for the tip. I'm new and trying to get rid of the throttling on my titan.
