Founder Brian Posted June 11, 2013 Founder Share Posted June 11, 2013 I ran across this Russian made game called War Thunder last night (in the process of downloading it) and the youtube vids + pictures look pretty bad ass. The combat area spans hundreds of miles, the graphics are gorgeous and its a WWII shooter--kinda like BF1942 was but on a much bigger scale. The game is supposed to incorporate navy, air and ground combat into the game as well though I don't think they'll have infantry combat. The air combat in this game looks AMAZING and is exactly what Battlefield should have been like instead of turning into a kiddy console shooter. Here's some videos: [H]
War Thunder is a next generation MMO combat game dedicated to World War II military aviation, armored vehicles, and fleets. Founder Brian Posted June 11, 2013 Author Founder Share Posted June 11, 2013 Cool lemme know when you try it out. I played it shortly today and it was decent, I really need a joystick though. I heard that World of Warplanes is another good one.
Ufo104
you're going to regret the joystick. I originally used a joystick, then switched to mouse controls. Instant K/D improval right there.
assitch
Wow, that game looks pretty cool. I cant get enough of WWII genre. I really enjoy World Of Tanks as well. Gonna give this one a try.
Khenglish
yeah I've been playing it quite a bit. Fun game but the developer is russian and they insist on bringing obscure russian planes into the game that had insane mechanical difficulties IRL with none in game, resulting in their planes being far better than they really were.I am scared of when tanks come into the game since the russians actually had good tanks... (t-34 utterly dominated until mid 1943)
