PLease give your honest opinion.. when I make the videos.. do I need to explain better or more accurately that fraps locks the frames and that the real FPS is in the screenshots? I put a 8 second delay in the vids with a slide to explain it but I am sure I can do it better... What are your thoughts? Best Wishes, StevenX

During replay. During racing it's on the cockpit view and like a normal guy I haven't read the instructions on how to change views yet. Seems the buttons will let you look around or free look from inside the car but not like a "behind car" view or "above car" view. Game plays smooth as silk. Very impressed that I am able to play on high as Ive heard others have issues above medium. With Video card at 750/1000 frames are usually above 35 and most of the time above 40.

These are some more pics for Gears and anyone else. Settings: Dx11, High Texture Pack, Extreme (ultra particles) 1366x768. I am using bandicam and fraps as I was experimenting with video stuff. You can see that bandicam doesn't adjust to the frame changes as fast as fraps does.

Still bums me out that not everything is destructible. I like Crytek 3 for some of the shader and lighting effects but I miss destructon in Warhead. its like they took one step forward and two back.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, my gpu according to evga precision sits at 73c the entire time at 99 percent utilization which is what crysis 2 pegs it at. Clocks 750/900 (the mem makes little difference and increases temps)

Very nice Steven... I played the first one and love it perhaps the C key should change the camera view... Its very common on PC racing games. Sounds like you have it running nice to congrats... Looks awesome.

@Gears - Exactly what i am getting now gears. Above 30-45 fps most of the time. My advice though.. is to make an autocexec.cfg file. Place these items inside FTW. r_PostMSAA = 0 r_UseEdgeAA = 0 r_ssao = 0 (our vid cards can process this but it impacts FPS a lot) The bottom line is that we can play the game on vanilla extreme just fine with dx11 and high texture patches. Adding these items which to me makes the objects a little more crisp (less smooth) and it give you some extra FPS for even smoother gameplay.

Gears - You can play with config settings if you like. Sometimes images are too smooth in game and they just dont pop enough. The vanilla ultra config looks amazing and I wish i could run it but in truth some of it is a bit over the top. I guess that's what it's for. So to wrap up - Vanilla Extreme - 30-45 fps GPU clocks at 752/900 (gpu temp 73c) <-- note i put it at 752 to make sure its at least 750 all the time. I have noticed clocks fluctuate sometimes. This was the case with my old 5850. If you flashed the speed then it stayed perfect, if you adjusted with applications it would fluctuate a little bit. I wouldn't push the gpu too much farther as others on STEAM and Mycrysis forums have noticed the increased settings have caused issues with overheating on desktop cards. If you want a few more frames per second and a crisper picture then add the config from above. Good Luck, StevenX

Antialiasing is nice when needed for sure but while I game in 1080p and used to in 1200p I do not see many jagged edges anymore if I was on something way bigger than my 40 inch I might start to see more blocky curves.

If your on the go and have the alienware m14x, FIFA 2011 (soccer not manager) plays great. Over 30fps on high (no AA) on the integrated card plugged in and over 60 fps on the nvidia on balanced power. Plugged in I get over 200 fps on tele cam while playing actual games.

Just plug in your favorite xbox 360 controller and your good to go!

(Mods - I will start cleanup soon if ok, including this thread as it's probably time to tidy up a bit)
