What huge waste of time.. COD MW2.. can't even spawn without kids and tubes blowing up everywhere. F'that shit right now. un-installed in less than 30 seconds thanks to steam. For those worried about this crap game, 90fps average.

Good riddance to this pos.

Love the career mode, couldn't agree more on the the multiplayer

Some optimizations included in the driver apparently. Folks are reporting HUGE gains with it. Witcher 2 is supposed to be a beast to run at higher levels. I said I wasn't going to get it but I might just break down and buy it now... Nothing like a challenge to get it to run at close to max levels...

I dont usually play any multiplayer... but I think that is going to change with my new system, T |I and Steam! I usually just enjoy the story and scenes on the single player modes.

So I feel it should be mentioned that both Nvidia on this driver release and AMD on their last on showed very much the same... a huge increase in performance just from a driver update! KUDOS to both Nvidia and AMD!

Witcher 2 performance:

My benchmark is the intro fight with the dragon that for some reason I can't even get past on normal difficulty. (just got the game but seriously... tone it down for 3 minutes.. allow people to get used to the fighting style...)

Game Settings.. Everything enabled except uber particles and ssao. All options on HIGH.

System... 2630qm and 555 @ 750/1000.

Removing 3d driver makes no difference so don't bother.

The Witcher 2 is a very beautiful game so far. I am finally past the "intro" chapters and into chapter 1. The city is amazing, the colors, the effect. My settings are all high, LOD minimal, all items enabled minus SSAO, Uber, Vsync and AA.

I am over 30fps 90percent of the time. Rarely does it dip below. I fell horrible for the m11x folks as this game will bring your notebooks to their knees. It's pretty fun so far. Still getting used to the combat. I will try to put up some screenshots soon. Still very busy at work and home. My son is special needs and it takes up a lot of time.

FYI - I like others were experiencing decreasing performance in game and had no idea to the cause. It appears that my game (retail) has the horrible secureROM mess for validation. You have to replace your executable and paul.dll (the ones I used were from GOG) and it works. I am NOT suggesting you use CRACKS and if their is an issue of validity I will be happy to post pics of my limited ed box with soundtrack and game guide. What I am saying is that CDprojeKt better figure out how to fix this. After replacing the executables and DLL's im back put to around 36 fps in flotsam minus SSAO and AA/AF.

Thanks,

StevenX
