Nvidia GTX Titan - modified VBIOS for more control and better overclocking

Haven't been visiting this thread in a while... what did I miss? :)

Just added rev03 of the 'OC edition' to the first post. It corrects the slider so the default reading is the actual 3d voltage and added undervolting capabilities, meaning you can now lower the voltage per slider, see the following pic:

Thanks svl7 !

I'll wait for the version which is based on the SC. Once is out i will try it to death, i'd love to fine tune the Titan to run as cool and as silent possible when running games that are not demanding at all.

All versions and links can be found in the first post. All should perform equally when it comes to overclocking, rev03 simply corrects some things and adds undervolting abilities.

Thanks,Downloading.

And what do You think about this Engineering Version ?

BTW.Can I upload Your or any Bios for Titan If I have Asus, not EVGA.

(iam sorry for noob question, but i am newbie and want to learn from You)

Is it possible to increase the voltage on the GPU more than 1.21 volts without resorting to the soldering iron, I will be very grateful! now use the BIOS svl7 tibiosv02 may have something better on the water running all the model EVGA GeForce GTX TITAN Superclocked

It's no use, won't perform better. You can flash any current Titan vbios to your Titan, it will work. In case the latest cards differ a bit you might see issues but in that case you could still flash back.

So far no.

I'm asking because look.

With this Engineering Bios this guy shoot a record yesterday.

nacho_arroyo`s 3DMark11 - Extreme score: 6522 marks with a GeForce GTX Titan

I have even better system, but my Titan is blocked on 106 % (power throttle).

Probably with that BIOS as You can see,he unlocked this (visible in Nvidia Inspector)

With Your Bios Svl7 I will also can do that ?

OK.Uploaded.Etc.

Not SC.Normal 02 version.

Power throttle increased to 110 %.

ASUS GTX.

What is strange. That of course I can set higher CPU CLOCK and MEMORY CLOCK

but.... scores in 3D Mark are lower.

So i move them in Nvidia Inscpector higher (than before).

And receive the same score :

Around 5900 what I receive with oryginal BIOS from ASUS.

With Throttle 106 %.

Strange.I am stuck.

Here we go.

Ranking....

3DMark11 - Extreme overclocking records @ HWBOT

And my screenshoot and his :

2.And his…

Just look on paremeters and You will understand.

Check main and his GPU-Z report.

Or Nvidia Inspector GPU and MEM clocks.

He is using a bios with gpu boost, so his max clock is way higher than yours.

His Titan clocked at 1320/1750 mhz.

Look at GPU-Z parameters.

GPU & MEMORY

Lower than main.(BOOST only 4 points higher,means nothing 1146 vs 1150)

And clocking memory doesnt give me anything.

Clockin and Clockin.no progress.

Bios of SVL is great...

BUT as I wrote, the same scores with lower GPU and Memory settings I received on genuine Asus Bios.

But why ? I do not understand it.

It loooks like some terrible dream :)

PS.Look for example for next guy.

High lower parameter than main and score higher.

http://hwbot.org/submission/2388573_mrtooshort_3dmark11___extreme_geforce_gtx_titan_6409_marks

Only SVL can explain that :)

OR/OR CPU from 4.53 to 5.00 gives so high BOOST to 3DMark score EXTREME TEST.

But : 5800 to 6500 3d scores ? of CPU ?

I dint receive any progres after i passed with my Haswell 4.3.

Or this is it ? And I shall try go to 5Ghz ?

Whether he's cheating or doesn't need to be discussed here. He's in the Pro OC league, I doubt he's cheating. According to his submission he run at 1320MHz (most likely with a little volt mod). Yes, the GPU-Z in the screenshot does not match the numbers, but that's not cheating, there's no rule saying that GPU-Z has to show the clocks you run, it's only used to verify the GPU.

If you feel there's a problem with that submission please discuss this on hwbot.

@OdrzutoweWrotki

Those are Volt modded and BIOS modded what you cannot understand here:

1. 1,320/1,750MHz - 6128

2. 1,254/1,800MHz - 5891

You - 1146/1830 - 5444

So every 100mhz = ~450p more X points.

And stop judging real freq from GPU-Z(first tab) or NV inpector tools. They have written them in their submissions.

1.1112//3504

2.1446/3660

I dont know from where You have Your readings. Not from GPU-Z reports.

Even score is 5838 not 5444.Are You talking about previewed sets or its from Your head ?

And if You are talking about that i shall not expect anything from sensors in GPU-Z or NVINSP.

So what is correct tool to check correct settings ?

Battlefield 4 ?

GPU-Z second tab(sensors) is OK or PresitionX/AfterBurner log/monitoring to check your real freq.

I'm talking about GPU score you've got, not the total one, also those 1st and 2nd which you questioned above and their real frequency and GPU scores.

So now Im completely lost.

Because i cannot check actual settings with this tools :(

Evan voltage thanks to BIOS of SVL7 i have higher than them (as reported by GPUz,or INVSP) *but now i understand that this programms shows bullshi...t

And my GFX still run max 83 degress C (only).

with voltage set on max.

So still i have a lot of possibilties and cannot do anything :(

Even when i set prioritising for temperature 95 and power throttle to MAX 110 %.

Its still : Max 83 C and Fan at max 71 %.

Clocking BLCK ? of PCIE-E.

Trying.No change.

PCi-E : max + 5 on Maximus VI.little change but no sense.

BLCK : now its 102.can go higher.

But i want to overide Titan not CPU.

PS.PresitionX/AB log/monitoring ?

whats that.btw.thank You for helping.

NP

i prefer PresicionX - here's the latest version - EVGA | Software | EVGA Precision

Also MSI Afterburner - here's - http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/

Both are based on the same engine by Nikolay aka Unwider rivatuner creator, but for the moment Titan/700 series Presicion works more stable and compatible with them.
