Where can I get 12V?

See if you can find the datasheets of the R4 online, would help.

Else, the power source pin of the MXM connector is in the 12V range, but might be a bit higher or lower, you'd need to measure it.

Also your battery is most likely at around 12V, grab a multimeter and see whether there's something which fits your needs.

battery is 11.1v...what do you need a 12v connector for?

Nice!

Yeah, 5V is easy, e.g. at the harddrive, especially if you use an SSD... then it won't be an issue at all if you have a higher power draw there cause it has headroom for an hdd anyways.
