Notes.

 • When installing the AMD Catalyst driver for Windows operating system, the user must be logged on as Administrator or have Administrator rights to complete the installation of the AMD Catalyst driver.
 • The Catalyst driver requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1 to be installed.
 • These release notes provide information on the AMD display driver only. For information on the ATI Multimedia Center™, HydraVision, HydraVision Basic Edition, Remote Wonder™, or the Southbridge/IXP driver, please refer to their respective release notes found at: AMD Support & Drivers.
 • AMD Eyefinity technology is designed to give gamers access to high display resolutions. As pixel count grows, the graphics “horsepower” required to drive the displays at a reasonable frame rate can increase dramatically. Depending on the game and system configuration, users may notice texture corruption and reduced frame rates when running games in multi-monitor Eyefinity modes.
 • Windows Driver Model (WDM) drivers are no longer bundled in the AMD Catalyst software suite. The WDM drivers install bundle can be downloaded independently through the AMD website

Thanks Brian using these now. Performance is epic. Strange issue if vram has overclock i noticed a bsod can occur sometimes. Its in two different files ie two different bsod i experience with it and random. Like one occured exiting a game. Another while launching. I ruled out third party software by not running any. I think the error was in atiumdg but ill check later to be sure as there were two. I took off a mem overclock and not having the bsod. I know it wasn't due to a too high vram overclock as I tried even a slight one too. I searched and found a few others on this beta 8 had same issue. I look forward to Beta 9 or whql version. The performance keeps getting better and games that were a bit unstable have improved.

Tried a few games on it. Dirt 4 Showdown looks amazing and on this driver runs even better on same clocks. Crysis 2 runs amazing but still in ateas suffers from the known sudden fps drop looking at the wong rock or area lol.

Need for speed 13 most wanted utterly beautiful. This driver brings good performance but the 12.11 cap1 does not include a crossfire profile so the best i found in performance and stability is for now, I run it on the setting optimize 1x1 in crossfire profile area. This game is forced to vsync which kind of pisses me off. Ive searched for a way CCC has no bearing on the vsync and no config file setting to fix it either. On this game im seeing lowest peak was 28fps and often locks at 60fps but when viewing distant city scapes or going through some tunnels fps drops well towards 40-30 fps. Xbox and playstation users are locked at 30 fps so I guess I have to feel privileged haha right.

Ill have to give a bunch more a try.
