I got an old Dell 2005FPW. It still works great but the brightness sucks.

I got an Alienware OptX AW2210 and I really like it, is the one hooked to the M17x-R1 and I can't complain.

I got the Dell U2410 and I am completely satisfied for the price (thanks to Brian for the coupon) and its quality (especially after the calibration)

M17x-R2: RGB LED. My favorite and the reason I am happy every morning I get online and look at pretty colors! :)

Thinkpad X200 tablet: Samsung PVA Superbright Outdoor Viewable LED

Desktop in the office: Dell SE198WFPV 19" matte @ 1440x900 (Yes, that's correct! :D ) and surprisingly decent color reproduction. Decent monitor otherwise but pretty poor in comparison to my laptop screens. I bought it when I came to US and had no clue about different screens. Also, I'd prefer 4:3 19" any day for office work tho. :)

For work I enjoy the 16:10 ratio of both screens, it's something I would have a really hard time to get used to otherwise

I believe is pretty decent but nothing can really come close to the screen of the m17x to be honest. I like the size but as we all know is kinda hard to get that feel of the laptop monitor.

I'm sitting in front of 32" TV (32LG5700) wallmunted I had been using for last 3 years. I know all of you will tell me that PC monitor is superior to TV panel but well calibrated TV work well. Today its bit late but tomorrow I will post some pic to show off:P

When they were on sale, I picked up two Asus VX238 23in LED screens and have been nothing but impressed with their performance and look compared to identically sized IPS screens. In terms of color, they nearly match the screen on my 17in Dell M6700 IPS built into my laptop. Very bright, but does not have washed out colors. Sharp, but not jagged or unstable.

Ultra light.

2x HDMI (I use a DP to HDMI for the first screen and a DVI to HDMI for the second screen.)

1x VGA

1x Audio (Has two built in speakers with so-so performance.)

For the cost, I can not say a bad thing about these screens.

I've got old DELL 2408WFP. It's good that it has composite and component inputs, because I have old game consoles like PS2. I'm trying to find replacement, but have no luck :(

I have the Dell U2713HM, Great display! I like the extra screen realastate, the only downside is the little ghosting when playing fast games like COD..

I have a Dell u2412m, great IPS display for the price. The IPS glow is not that bad (thought its going to be much worse), viewing angles are good.

I'm actually in the market for a monitor if anybody has any suggestions. Right now I use a pretty small ~20 inch widescreen as a second display to my laptop.

I'm running a Samsung 2433BW (DVI-D dual link) with a 21.5" LG Flatron(DVI-D to HDMI) (unsure of the model) to the left and a Samsung 206BW(DVI-D dual link) to the right, all 3 monitors are set at 1920x1200.

I've been looking for a new monitor lately, the apple cinema got my attetion, though specs-wise i've read that the Dell's 27" beat's apple's. What would be you guys opinion? Still, im inclined to apple's... that glass cover makes any image look incredible.

I am the proud owner of a Benq XL2420, special gaming monitor. The refresh rate is 120 hz. Great for playing FPS. Very fast TN panel.

I'm actually in the market for a monitor if anybody has any suggestions. Right now I use a pretty small ~20 inch widescreen as a second display to my laptop.

From what I've seen above 20",

$99-150 -------- Benq G2250. 22", 5ms, 1080p, not amazing colours, but not bad colours either.

Decent contrast in standard mode, about 50° viewing angle before losing brightness.

$150-200 ------ Asus VE247/VS248. 23.6, 24", 2 ms g to g.

$200 ------------ Asus VN247. 24". 1cm edge bezel all around. 1080p. 1 ms g to g. Around 80° viewing until I saw some brightness loss.

I was quite impressed actually.

All of the above offer 1080p, with 5 ms or below response time. In the same price range, I couldn't find an Acer, LG, Viewsonic, Samsung, AOC, nor HP with similar viewing range before it started getting really dark in areas, or didn't keep up in speed.

However, Samsung, LG, and HP have very nice screens above the $200 mark.

IMO Dell's colour reproduction is slightly more accurate, IF you're in a very bright environment because it's a matte screen. Dell's response rate is horrible. It's perfectly fine if you're working on art production or watching videos. They're prone to input lag and tearing if you're planning to game on it.

(I compared when I brought my gaming laptop to a friend's place to try his Dell 27" ultrasharp. Could not respond in the same speed in games as on the laptop's screen.)

The glass glossy finish on Apple's screen will accentuate colour in any environment, but not in bright areas because that will glare like no tomorrow. Likewise, by virtue of that glass finish, it's also not giving you true colours unless you do extensive calibration.

I currently am using a korean QuadHD(2560x1440) Achevia Shimian QH270-Lite.

I paid $330 shipped for it about a year ago and couldn't be happier. QuadHD is truly incredible, and certainly worth checking out.

Recently I bought my first monitor with an IPS-Panel

Link: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00B4GNW9U/

It's awesome!

I got some TN-Panel monitors before, but compared to an IPS-one, it's simply stunning.

Very high contrast, bright colors and no tearing, simply a good gaming experience!

Here's an example of the difference:

Hi all, I have the following setup:
      early 2015 rMBP 13"
      Win 8.1 on external SSD
      akitio thunder2 + gtx1060 6gb
400W gold PSU, with a 4pin EPS remade to barrel for the akitio, and a 6pin VGA into my GTX1060
external HDMI monitor connected to eGPU

Beyond the usual booting trouble, everytime I go into Windows and want to utilise the eGPU, whether by just displaying my external monitor in control panel or running benchmark apps like unigine, a black screen occurs.
Windows boots up with only my internal display showing, and control panel is able to reflect the name of my 2nd monitor properly.
However if I ever try to switch to extend/duplicate/2nd screen only, Windows crashes. I know it has crashed because the light on the caps lock key wont toggle when I press it. The only thing I can do at this point is force shut down.

In device manager, Windows shows my GTX 1060 just fine and even shows its status as "working properly". Yet, I cant utilise my eGPU.
I have the v327.54 geforce drivers already installed. I also tried v327.70 to no avail. The only time anything ever appeared on my external display during this eGPU thing (like, ever) is a flash of a white screen on both internal and external displays, before the macbook/windows crashes.
I have tried restarting countless times, either plugging thunderbolt cable in from cold boot or only when the windows insignia shows.

I am clueless as to what's wrong. Does anyone have any idea? I will greatly appreciate it!!

I've been wanting to see what 144hz is all about. Which monitor is better? They both have good reviews but I see a lot more people recommend the Asus one but most don't state a reason other than "It is 3D and G-Sync capable."
      Also, what about BenQ monitors?
      Acer GN246HL
      Asus VG248QE

Hi, I have the prema mod bios (w230st 1.1) installed for a long time, but since 2 weeks ago the hdmi output doesn´t work.
With my normal monitor it works but it doesn´t work with the tv.
When I start the pc with my monitor it works without problems in windows, bios, etc. but with the TV it´s impossible.
I’ve tried everything, a new hdmi cable, other hdmi port in the TV...
It´s says panasonic TV and i can change the 50/60Hz , resolution but no way.
I´ve reinstalled windows 8 and linux.
The only thing I can do is reinstalling the prema bios, can I do that?
It´s not an update, it´s the same bios so I don´t know if y can do that.

So after calibrating my display I noticed the profile wasn't being forced. I searched around and found its a common problem and I stumbled across this fantastic tool called CPKeeper that was made by a user frustrated with the same issue: CPKeeper (Color Profile Keeper) nVidia could easily create a force profile option but choose not to so profile settings are usually lost in 3D games. This LG display I have has the ability to program a profile into the hardware but unfortunately they want you to buy their proprietary shit.
