Bios Modder Klem Posted January 8 Bios Modder Share Posted January 8 Note: Be careful with change any settings in bios setup menu! Before you change any settings in bios, you must absolutely exactly know what you want change and how! Don't try to disable Intel graphic card! If you set any settings to wrong value, then laptop break and can't start! In this case you will need to recover your bios with hardware SPI programmer device.

Yes, just follow instructions. 29 minutes ago, mhax said: noted sir. maybe the nvidia card that i will try to disable if there is any option about that, because there are time my nvidia is not detected and my system fan runs 100% once it booted into windows. even i try changing my default graphics card in a application the nvidia is not there. Broken MXM card make the EC controller go haywire and the fan to spin at 100%. The way is set Primary Display to IGFX to force IGP to be working. This way, the MXM port signal is bypassed and everything will working ok.

mhax
update in my msi gt70. i succesfully remove the nvidia card and it boots up to windows, the fan is spinning but not that loud, what i noticed is that the cpu temp with or without the nvidia card installed is around 43c min and 64c max. mhax
@Klem sir i noticed that the cpu fan is always at low speed even though the cpu temp is around 48c-57c. is there any workaround for this issue or some configuration in the bios?
Ledii
Hi. I have a MSI GT70 2PE Dominator Pro where the GPU has died. (Originally a 880M) And I decided I wanted to try install a 1070 MXM Clevo. I did not really know beforehand that this hardware would not be possible to recognize by the bios. But it's not a huge surprice either. Problem is, after doing some research I discovered that I will need a custom bios to be able to boot the computer with this GPU. I was able to make a bootable DOS flash drive containing the "ms_gt70.rom". And got the following error: - ROM file ROMID is not compatible with existing BIOS ROMID So I wanted to know if you have some opinion on whether it will be safe to force it to run on my bios using -x parameter. Or if this rom simply is NOT designed for all versions of GT70.
