julsmbA
Hi, I have a GT683DXR that reboots from nothing on AC, I think it's the 570M that is giving up. I wanted to flash the unlocked bios for it to check it changes something. Is it happening to someone?

You need to contact the workshop to repair your laptop. In your case bios won't help you.

Is it possible to fix the GPU (570M) by baking it?

julsmbA
It's maybe possible to tell the system that the AC is not connected, like disabling 3D states. The computer is rebooting as soon as something needs the GPU but only happens on AC.

julsmbA
Yes but the thing is that the laptop only reboots when the AC is plugged. So it means that the GPU only works when the AC is plugged, I only the laptop for WEB and some Office Work. dimavi
I have 2 laptops msi gt70 2od. One has a modified bios, and the other does not. Using the Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 program, I created a rom file with a modified BIOS. After installing it, my laptop does not boot. Hangs on the MSI logo. Help me please! If you save your original bios backup (.rom file) before you install .rom file with a modified BIOS from another laptop, in this case now just install your original bios backup (.rom file). If you didn't save your original bios backup (.rom file) before you install .rom file with a modified BIOS from another laptop, in this case now just download and install original bios from MSI website. Fantazmo
Hi there! There is a GT70 2OD DA2 laptop with a 4940mx processor and a GTX 980M 8GB (VBIOS 84.04.22.00.0A) graphics card, BIOS E1763IMS.70V (Win10, last EC, drivers are installed and updated normally, but optimus is not working). The question is as follows, a strange thing happens on the latest official BIOS E1763IMS.71D, when rebooting, the laptop is turned off (instead of the usual reboot) for about 2-3 seconds, and then turned on again. But at the same time, optimus starts working on this BIOS version. I wrote to MSI support, they said it's okay, such a reboot mode is possible. But this is not the solution. Hardware problem is excluded. I would like to know if the problem with optimus is solvable in BIOS E1763IMS.70V? Maybe through the installation of another VBIOS? Or something else? Lucis
Hi. I read a lot here and I'm not sure if I understand right. I have a MSI GT70 and have the 100% fan problem because my dgpu is broken. If I understand right I can't use a unlocked bios here but the user Klem can modify my bios. Is it right? Thanks

You can post here your file backup of bios, or upload it into any fileserver and post the link. For creating backup of bios use attached utility. Extract attached archive directly on the Desktop and run utility as Administrator (right click mouse, choice "Run as Administrator"). Utility will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Post here this archive "results", or upload it into any fileserver and and post the link. https://www.sendspace.com/file/mxoavw or http://www120.zippyshare.com/v/NC9WuxRI/file.html

DeG
Hi Klem, I have test upgrade version 70x and i have same problem gpu frequency not detected. The graphics card comes from an Alienware model and the card is bios locked I think the only solution is to flash the card on another laptop or use a programmer Edited May 10, 2022 by DeG
