Hi!

When you get 670MX (from G75VX) on your hand, then write me in PM, I'll prepare bios mod for you (which will be based on your native bios backup).

Hi there,

i have the same laptop G75VW with a GTX 670MX

(in fact i have 2)

i have done, long time ago this mod to inject the 670Mx graphic part into the bios , replacing the 660M graphic part. (using afuwingui, FTK, and MMTOOL)

now, here is my issue:

i cannot dump this BIOS because the CPU cannot read a protected area (ME)

i can only make 6Mb dumps ...instead of the complete 8Mb (including ME)

now, it has been 3 years and i do not remember this complete procedure exactly, especially the injecting part, how to save the graphic part with the card's ID and inject the other part with other ID in MMTOOL.exe...)

(i even still have the 88Kb file for the MX graphic part)

so here is my question : could you send me this G75VW modded BIOS ?

i see here the max file size is only 1MB !!

how can i send you my files ?

other question : with the 6Mb part, can you add the ME part to make the 8Mb file ??

because i have the complete finished file of 6Mb, includding unlocked menus in BIOS...and original G75VW file of my BIOS (but 8Mb)

Ty for your assistance.

Hi there,

Just in case, i solved my issue, very easily in fact.

i opened an hexa editor (HEXEDIT for example), opened the 8Mb and 6Mb files, did copy the 6Mb part to clipboard, went to 8Mb file, went to adress 80000h-60000h=20000h, and selected from there to end and pasted the data.

save, exit, burn the file into a chip, soldered it and VOILA.

if anyone needs the bios dump file of this modded G75VW with GTX 670MX (and lots of menus in BIOS no more hidden), just pm me.

Hi @bindiou,

Can you please give me your bios tweak and explain how to use it. I bought a GTX 670MX for my G75VW and I have no idea on how to tweak the bios.

Thanks in advance ;-)

I would need a modified bios for her if anyone can help me, it's been 2 weeks since I've been struggling to do something and I can't get her to post I'm new to this bios thing. I looked everywhere for something how to do it but I couldn't find it. the only place where I found more discussion is on this forum, please help me. Thank you. excuse my English, I'm from Romania

So basically my friend starts texting me one night asking if I wanted a broken laptop. Of course I say yes because I love the challenge of trying to fix broken tech. What he gave me was a G75VW, at first I was like wtf. My friend just handed me a gaming laptop. Not to mention this was in school so imagine having to shove one of those large things in your backpack. So I asked him where he got it and why was he giving it to me. It turns out my friends brother found it while he was dumpster diving and he was just going to take the screen and chuck the rest, but he never got around to it and was trying to throw it away when my friend saw it. So when I got it he told me it crashes when trying to turn on and that he couldn't get it to work. When I got it I had thought it had nothing in it expect the Mobo, it was also missing the back panels and the hard drives. But to my surprise whoever scrapped this thing didn't go under the keyboard because 8gb of ram and the cpu/gpu were still there. So I only had to buy a hard drive, ssd, and a power supply. So about 118$ in total. And most games I play run on it great. Mostly Rainbow Six Siege which runs on medium at 60fps great. And thats how I got a G75VW for almost free  thanks for reading.

Would it be remotely possible to put a newer graphics card in a G75VW?

The computer I used was '' Lenovo Y510P ''. There is a '' Nvidia GT755M [SLI] '' as a display card. I have tried both ways of downloading the video card driver from both GeForce Experience and Nvidia driver site. Both kinds of graphics cards are starting to update. Later, the 'graphic driver is installed' part of the screen goes and never comes again. I can not enter Windows when I turn off the computer. I have to take format from scratch.

After formatting, Windows automatically loads a graphics card driver in 2017, trying to update the driver again, it stays black on the screen again. I have to format again.

With DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) program, I deleted the old video card driver and updated it again. But I met the same problem.

I communicated with Nvidia and stated that I had such a problem. They asked me not to install the 388.13 video card driver. That graphics card driver has been loaded without any problems. But I have the same problem with all the video card drivers out there.

NOTE: This problem only happens on Windows 10. I can update the display board without any problems in operating systems like Windows 8,8.1.

NOTE: I have been having this problem for about 2 months, before I could update my display card in Windows 10 without a problem.

The driver I am currently using is: 388.13

I found that it on this site but I do not have access to download. can someone have access to download and share this bios for me. I will be very grateful. I want to overclock 2 old video cards. standard only +135 MHz, can be accelerated to + 300-400 MHz.

      i need only clevo gtx670mx 3 gb.
      Thanks for any help.

Hi, I started overclocking my laptop. Initially, the graphics card provided 601 MHz at core (900 mV voltage) and 1400 MHz at memory. By moddig the bios through the Kepler Tweaker, it was possible to overclock to 944 MHz at core (925 mV voltage) and 2310 MHz at memory.
I want to reach 1 GHz by the core, but for this I need to raise the voltage. At a very high voltage, even without load, the fan will start to rustle, so I do not want to raise the voltage much.
But there is an idiotic problem. When the temperature of 60 degrees is used, the video card discards 25 mV. This is Nvidia`s feature . In the stock, it drops from 925 to 900, now from 950 to 925. I want 950 constantly, but it's impossible to make through Kepler Tweaker. I saw reports that svl7`s BIOS mod does not have this problem, but anyway I can not download it. So may be somebody know how make right vbios mod.
