Hi.  Are you still offering whitelist unlock for Lenovo x240 BIOS please?

Hi!

In Lenovo ThinkPad X240, any modified bios can be flash using hardware SPI programmer only, exactly the same as described in the first post of this thread.

So, for creating backup (dump) of bios you need to use hardware SPI programmer only.

Dear Klem,

You unlocked a whitelist for my X240. The laptop worked fine with a non-whitelisted network card. But when I installed another LTE modem, it gives me an error when loading:

2101: Detection error on SSD1 (M.2)

Press Esc to continue.

In the W10 x64 system, the modem is detected and working. How to delete message on upload?

Hi!

In this case, read and do like this:  https://fossa.life/2022/01/08/sierra-em7455-and-false-detection-as-m-2-ssd/

Thanks for the very precise advice with insufficient description of the problem. You are the best!

I found the same advice on another 4pda site. I isolated 21 pins of the EM7455 and the error went away.

Your work is great!

Hi Klem.  Can you please kindly supply a modded bios for a Lenovo Thinkpad x240?  I've uploaded the image to Jumpshare and renamed extension to hex since jumpshare complained about an exexutable file.  Thanks in advance.

Hi the bios dump was created by reading the BIOS chip using an SPI programmer.  I used three different methods to do this and grabbed two versions each time.  The images were compared against each other from the same PC and all matched.  I have taken a BIOS dump from another x240 PC so will upload that for you to see.  The BIOS version is 2.49 in each case.

Hey Klem,

would be cool if you'd remove the whitelist for Wi-Fi and LTE adapters as well if possible add the hidden BIOS menu for my X240:

Link to BIOS dump file (running BIOS v2.25): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UjkL7LYvGlJhDH6dcCdZ5-3JzY0ZuvZg/view?usp=share_link

Or do you recommend to upgrade to a more recent BIOS version first?

Thank you very much in advance! :)
