I can't find switch option from TPM 1.2 to 2.0 in Secure Chip Tab. I have installed Windows 11 on original Bios, some time ago, but on UNLOCKED I just can't find this option. I checked ME CONFIGURATION, but this way made changes doesn't save. I put orginal BIOS again, and BETA version works fine. Regards

Hi!

Ok. I checked your file bios dump, unfortunately it's not correct. You need to read your bios dump from your bios chip again, may be multiple times and compare in any hex editor (for example HxD), all dumps should be identical.

If you will meet with some problems with read bios dump from your bios chip, then try to use different software version.

All software versions for Ch341A programmer I placed into this link:  https://files.fm/u/w4kvs2pqa

I recommend you use software AsProgrammer_1.4.1

I would like to have my x240 BIOS unlocked: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18FVlju8hjWW4CMltwv_FCuLWum6At9vM/view?usp=sharing

I tried 3 different programmers and all the saved files look identical.

Thank you in advance.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers!

BTW: If I reflash the BIOS, do I have to unsolder the chip first, or can it stay on the Motherboard?

Hi, do you know how to downgrade Thinkpad X240 the BIOS from 2.49 ? It seems reflash via programmer is the only option, isn't it ?

I installed 2.49 (lastest BIOS) and battery significantly reduced. The uncore power was very high (almost 3W), I found noway to reduce this uncore power to normal (< 1W).

But when I try to downgrade BIOS via Windows, it does not work. I tried to run command Winflash64 /sd /file but it does not work either - it works on x230, not x240.

Sorry for my English, it is not my native language.

Hi!

Try to use this instruction:

Also, try to disable in bios setup menu:

  • Disable Security Chip
  • Disable Anti Theft Module
  • Disable TPM

Also, try to go into your BIOS setup. Navigate to Security -> UEFI BIOS Update Option. Set Flash BIOS Updating by End-Users to Enabled, and Secure RollBack Prevention to Disabled.

Also, try to use command:  winflash64 /sd /file X240.FL1

File X240.FL1 you can download from this link:  https://files.fm/u/vn2j7h3nx
