Connecting eGPU disables wireless

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've been merrily using my eGPU setup on my Macbook through bootcamp for the last couple of years, but in the last few weeks, its stopped all network connections working.

Its fine without the eGPU connected but when I reboot I get "No Network connections available"

Looking in device manager without the eGPU connected I can see "The Broadcom 802.11 Network Adapter" which is on "PCI Slot 2(PCI bus 3, device 0, function 0)

When its connected there's no network adapter with that name and I can see that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB is on:

PCI Slot 2 (PCI bus 11, device 0, function 0)

Do anyone know if the PCI slots are conflicting and if so any idea how I can specify the slot for the new NVIDIA card?

Or is the reason something completely different?! :)

Thanks

Steve
