You can post here your bios backup (bios dump). To create bios backup use attached utility. Extract attached archive directly on the Desktop and run utility as Administrator (right click mouse, choice "Run as Administrator"). Utility will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Post here this archive "results", or upload it into any fileserver and post the link. https://www.sendspace.com/file/mxoavw

Lenovo G400 with HM76 chipset already support CPU i7 3612QM by default. So no need any bios modifications. Try this algorithm: 1) remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS Battery 2) remove HDD and all RAM DIMMs 3) install new CPU 4) wait 10 mins 5) press and hold power button for 30 sec. 6) install CMOS Battery and one DIMM only, inject AC jack (without Main Battery!) 7) try to boot your laptop. For your G400, Lenovo CPU recommended upgrade based from your hardware manual (no.8 page 82) as follows: Intel I7-3632QM 2.2G E1 6M 4cPGA processor (G400/G500) part number :102500437 Intel I7-3612QM 2.1G E1 6M 4cPGA processor (G400/G500)part number 102500290 Intel I7-3520M 2.9G L1 4M 2cPGA processor (G400/G500) part number 102500295

8bitbubsy
Hi Klem. I have linked results.rar from a Lenovo G500. Could you please remove WiFi whitelisting for me, so that I can upgrade the WiFi card? I don't want other modifications. Also, I need to know how to flash it back again. I got a bunch of errors when using "BACKUP_Tools12_2.exe", but I hope this is good enough. I ran it from a clean install of Windows 8.1 64-bit UEFI. https://www.sendspace.com/file/s2r3ip Thank you so much!
