n0mad
Hello, I am thinking to buy a HP Elitebook 8470p and I would like to add later a 4 core i7.Which one should I choose so with the i7 will not have heating issues? HP Elitebook 8470p + dGPU OR HP Elitebook 8470p + iGPU Probably with the iGPU I will be okay but with no evidence from existing users I cannot be sure.I would prefer the one with graphics card but if it will heat up and will throttle i will get iGPU I saw also about Dell e6430 which has nvidia optimus for better battery life and it is suitable for i7 quad but is little bigger than t430 which I have and bulky from what I read Thanks a lot!!!! BlazingBrandon
I own one with the dGPU and it does get hot, but it never throttles. If you are worried about temps and graphics power doesn't matter to you, just go for the iGPU version. It's cheaper too.
