MBP late 2014 + GTX1070 external display only

Hello everyone

just a quick noobish question: I'm waiting for the delivery of a gtx1070 card, I already have all the other doodads (akitio, cables, dell power unit, etc)

Reading here and there, but with no first person experience, I seem to notice that the main problems are with using either the laptop internal monitor or OS X or both.

 

I intend to use the egpu setup only with bootcamp, only with the external monitor.

Do I expect troubles or smooth sailing?

the "black screen post" problems still apply?

Pay attention to what you are doing. Biggest issue people have is not triggering external PSU to fire. Keep in mind no OS X drivers for 1070
