82280zx
I guess I'm not sure whats I'm doing wrong? I've followed your guide, I did the following: Updated my Vbios to PREMA V2 I did a DDU, Rebooted Then I ran this under a admin command prompt bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy I then proceeded to reboot the system and disable driver signing, then I extracted the new drivers using 7 zip, I replaced inf files in the display folder with the modded ones from your post, removed the folders that I didn't need from the driver folder as listed above, I then installed the driver, I then updated my profiles in nvidia inspector with the new PEG Mod Profiles V6, and set them to default, double checked tasks in task scheduler, rebooted after all the changes and then I ran a benchmark, according to GPU Z my gpu's being throttled way back due to power? I'm pretty sure I did everything in your guide, what did I miss? I also have the task in task scheduler imported for the PEG Mod to fire nvidia inspector when I log in, (imported the one you had or followed the PEG guide). Any help would be appreciated. Tulius
It seems incredible but please someone confirm this? With this driver GeForce 364.51 and Prema 2.0 980M SLI flashed in M18X-R2 , throttling is gone in games I tested like Ryse and Witcher 3 and even in 3DMark test the gpu clocks don't decreased in benhmark test. Tested again in Sniper Elite 3 2560x1080p 4x supersampling and 98% utilization from both gpus and no throtte is occuring. Actually is hard to believe that Nvidia finally made some decent drivers since forever... Edited March 9, 2016 by Tulius

If it doesn't hold clocks anymore you can easily restore this by installing previous driver(?) rebooting then uninstall/DDU and finally reinstalling 364.51. I've posted many temporary fixes, let's see if it behaves different this time. @mariussx M17xR4 120Hz screen upgrade? Tulius
@J95 You're right it was just a temporary fix as it throttle again after the cold boot. Reinstalling the drivers seems to fix the driver somewhat till next day when all things go back to normal again (throttling) My friend's notebook with 780M SLI still working good tough.

I am running svl7 vbios though, not Prema version. First screen is for 361.91, second one - 364.51. No throttle on both versions after restarts, power off/on as long as the battery is not removed, however I did not try cmos reset or PSU disconnect/battery removal yet. Never reset CMOS without a 'backup' card, defaults are UEFI/CSM (GUID partition table detected) instead of full UEFI. Cold boot, just remove the battery and power cable for 5 minutes. I tried going a step further and removing the battery+PSU: GPU started to throttle. The weird thing is, this can be fixed by enabling hibernation (Win+x, a for cmd powercfg /h on), sending the laptop to hibernation for a few seconds and waking it back up. This was discovered by Schurke at notebookreview forum/ @Naberius here. I just confirmed it still works on Windows 10 with 364.51 drivers, card holds the clocks even after restart or power off/on. J95
Never tested hibernation, mine is always off. Still, easy and less painful than reinstalling drivers, but it's just temporary as above. Switching RAM XMP profiles occasionally works too, messing w/ BCLK...

haXBOXpro
Guys so I recently updated to geforce 364.51 @J95mod and updated both vbios to @Premav2. Everything running smooth except now my touchpad keeps freezing while making a beep sound through speakers and sometimes PC wakes up to a black screen from sleep! I have uninstalled Windows updates which was the only other changes made to Windows recently. Can this issue be caused by graphics driver!? Has anyone faced this problem? Or know how to identify and fix the problem. All articles online are irrelevant to my M18xR2 setup. J95
@haXBOXpro Try v362.00. @anarky321 issues w/ SLI Uninstall under programs & features, then DDU leftovers. Delete unnecessary folders as shown above, Run as admin.
