Looking for a laptop for gaming/college

Vakend

Question

Hello everyone,

I'm going to buy a computer for college soon. I want it to be good for gaming, and to last a while. Something around 14"-15.7".

I was also considering the option of making an eGPU for it, but from what I've seen (correct me if I'm wrong), I'd need a laptop with Express Card or Thunderbolt 3. I haven't found any with the former, and laptops with the latter are way over my budget.

Unfortunately, I'm on a budget, I think I can't spend more than €1000 (~1120 USD), and even that might be pushing it.

I've seen some MSIs, some Clevos...

Any suggestions?

It's going to be very difficult to find something new in that price range that will do really well at gaming. It might be better to buy an inexpensive laptop for about half your budget and wait until you have about two or three times that much to purchase something nicer and more powerful. If you have never owned a laptop with a screen smaller than 15 inch, you might want to think about that. Many people find that size as small as they can handle, and for comfortable viewing any smaller can be miserable to use if you are using applications like Word and Excel on a frequent basis.
