  1. Hi, I have an XMG u705 with the an í7 4790k, a Geforce GTX 980M 8GB, G-Sync Monitor, 32GB DDR3 RAM, etc. and I am damn annoyed by both the Mainboard Bios and Vbios, because both are the cause for a ton of driver issues under Windows 10. Also I can't use my lately bought Samsung 970 Evo, even though technically there should be nothing preventing it. Heck I was even able to install Windows 10 on it, because the Windows 10 installer detected it, just not the Bios which is logically why I cannot boot from it. -.- So in search of a solution, I searched the web and found out that there are several mods for both bios made by devs like Prema. Unfortunately some Bios mods I found are heavily outdated, unfinished, ... or not anywhere secure and I couldn't find any location where I could download Prema's Mods for this device, especially not on his Site (just a Subscribe banner there) or his older Wordpress site (errors). There is also nothing here under Downloads/Clevo/P77xZM. I would be really thankfull if someone could help me.

    GTX 970m non g-sync in a g-sync P750DMG

Hi, I have a clevo P750DMG and my 970m started failing so I decided to buy a replacement one. Turns out that the new one doesn't get detected, I install it and turn the computer on but no video. I noticed that I could see disk activity so I tried to remote connect to it and it worked. I checked device manager and there is no graphics card there. After a lot of googling I discovered that the issue may be due to the fact that my machine is a g-sync one and the new card is not. I didn't know about that. My question is: is it possible to flash my computer bios or do any other hack to make this new non g-sync card work? I don't care about it as I use it to work only, I have another gaming machine. I just want to have it working again. Thanks!
  3. Hi all! Figured since there aren't many avenues out there as of yet that properly show how to dissect your phoenix, I'd try to take up the mantle with my own experience in upgrading the LCD panel from FHD 1080 to the 4K panel. Before we get started, I'd like to present a list a useful tools to have beforehand if you intend to pursue this endeavor. I'll be providing pictures of my own tools as well as links to various components you need for purchase if you intend to follow-suit: MOD EDIT: ATTENTION HUGE PICTURE LOAD AHEAD!

Hey guys, selling my current monitor setup as I've decided to switch to the Ultrawide monitor life Both of these monitors have been amazing since I've bought them and are practically brand new (no bad pixels or anything). My gaming monitor is an AOC 24" G2460PG 1080p 144hz G-SYNC monitor, absolutely amazing for all of the games I play and ran great paired with my GTX 970. My second monitor is an LG 24" 24EN33 1080p 60hz monitor, pretty standard in terms of screens but acts as a great secondary monitor while gaming. The monitor mount is pretty standard as well, does its job great mounting to the back of my desk saving tons of space. I'll include the original stands for both monitors if you want. Even if you aren't interested, I'd highly advise in a similar setup, having two monitors as a student makes gaming, movie watching, essay writing, digital drawing, etc WAY easier with an additional screen. Looking for $450 with shipping included in that ($400 for local pickup, I live in Southern IL). Includes the two monitors, dual monitor stand, all necessary cables, and original monitor stands if needed. Let me know if you have any questions!

  5. Hi folks, I've been trying to get into using Nvidia 3 vision but I've been unable to get a monitor that can do 120Hz or better to work with my 2014 EON 17SLX laptop with SLI GTX 880M video cards and its Thunderbolt port. I've tried connection 4 different gaming monitors on it (3x Dell S2716DG and 1 ASUS P279Q) and all of there mostly freezes up my laptop and give the "No signal detected from DisplayPort" error when I connect them to my laptop's Thunderbolt Port. During the few times that laptop doesn't freeze and is able to see detect the connected monitor, the monitor itself will still show the save no signal error regardless of which frequency or resolution that I set the monitor to from the nVidia control panel. The monitors do work if I connect them via a HDMI cable but that only gets me 60Hz frequency which doesn't work for 3d nVidia vision. I've tested my thunderbolt port/mDP to DisplayPort cable with another 60 Hz Dell u2412m and it works without a hitch. I've tested the same cable and Dell S2716DG on a friend's MacBook Pro and it's able to see the monitor and the monitor was able to use the 120Hz frequency at 2560x1440 resolution. So, the cables does work and so does the monitor but just NOT for my Laptop. I've tried downgrading my video drivers to their original and to the latest drivers but none of it had any affect on the problem. I've tried disabling G-SYNC from the nVidia Control Panel. I tried disabling the SLI. I've also tried setting my main display to a secondary display before connecting the 120Hz + monitors to the laptop. But nothing worked. I've talked with Dell, NVida, and OriginPC but didn't get any resolution. Has anyone gotten their 880M video card to work with the Dell S2716DG, ASUS P279Q, or any 120Hz+ monitor? I'm curious if this problem is unique to me only or I'm doing something wrong with my settings.

  7. Hi all, I finally stopped being a lurker here because now own a Batman 2.0 (P771DM-G) since a week! (Santech rebranded). Great machine, I'd say. It comes with the 970M flavour. What I'm wondering, though, is: IS IT POSSIBLE to raise the G-SYNC refresh rate for games up to the maximum specification of the screen? (possibily without touching VBIOS and such) So far I couldn't bring it beyond 60 Hz in-game. Those are my attempts, so far: - I Created a custom resolution for the screen in the NVIDIA Contorl Panel: 1920x1080 @ 75 Hz - It seems to work (specific websites do recognize the panel refresh at 75-ish Hz) - Activated G-SYNC (for full screen only) in NVIDIA the CP - Disabled Shadowplay (turning it on does the same, btw), just to be sure its 60FPS recording wasn't the limiting factor - Then start a Full Screen game, for example Team Fortress 2 (with all max settings, as like as GeForce experience allows) - Turn V-Sync Off in the game (Turning it On does not change anything in that regard) RESULT: The game is G-SYNC'd at 60 Hz (SIXTY HERTZ), instead of 75. SMH Is there a known and easy way to force max-Refresh Rate under G-SYNC at the real max Refresh of the Panel (75 Hz)?? And by the way here is a mini-review of that baby, showing the "problem" I'm facing: Thanks for any help, TheMacco26 EDIT: wrong Model. It's a P771DM-G.
  8. Hi all I just bought two clevo mxm GTX980M for my alienware 18 r3, after install on my laptop and install driver, I found that there is no sli option in driver setting. After I review these two gpus in gpu-z, I found one 980M pci id is 1617, the other one is 13D7. I think this may be the reason that sli cannot be enabled. Anyone knows what should I do to make the sli option work? the 1617 one is from P770 ZM-G with g-sync build in.
