  1. Good day gents. I'm looking for a way to overclock my GTX 970m 3Gb pass the +135Mhz limit. After some research (presumably) i need an unlocked vBios. Please help if you can My stock bios is attached. Thanks a lot GM204.rom
  2. Hello, I am new on this forum, so I am sorry if posting at the wrong place. It's been 2 weeks that I am searching how to make my GTX 980M 8GB working Inside my Alienware 17 R1 (June 2014, i7 4710MQ, 60 Herts Display, OPTIMUS and the GTX 880M Inside died.) After "quickly" looking some forums, I saw that a 980M would easily fit Inside … but maybe I was wrong. Hardware wasn't a problem. I've also could install drivers by modding the nvdmi or nvcvi. inf files. The card was recognied BUT : the clock speed is locked a 135 or 405 Mherts and fan is not runing when booted up. I tried to flash vBios with nvflash and some ROM I found on vBios collection … but no way to get this working properly. So, i'm coming here. I've seen many people talking about Prema or svl7 or other big boss in the place … but ? how ? where ? when ? Inside the peripherial manager I have this in remote acces path : PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1617&SUBSYS_05AA1028&REV_A1\4&D590A51&0&0008 So I assume my GTX 980M card ID is 1617 and vendor and PC Model are 05AA 1028. But near the "Standard Microsoft Video Card" there is a yellow exclamation point and Inside details it says "this peripherial doesn't work properly" when no Nvidia drivers installed. I could find some vBios with 1617 (Asus) but black screen at boot up. Since laptop model where not the same .. probably. And I wasn't able to find 1617 with the existing 05AA 1028 … as the GTX 980M was not an option for my model. (AW 17 R1 2014 ,60Herts) I tried 353.60, 382.33 and 419.35 drivers. The latest one seems easier to install but longer. BIOS is A16 from Dell. And I am using Windows 10. Got a Dell 330W brick. I saw a guy with the exact model as me, he gets a modded vBios especially for his configuration, then everything worked easily … but can't find the topic again I guess depending on the card info and the laptop model … a dedicated vBios is required … So, If anyone here got some informations or any kind of help for me, it would be very nice. Thanks for reading and help. PS: there are a lot of files, pictures and links that I can't see on this forum .. even after registration ….
  3. Is there a difference in the gpus from different brand laptops except their vBIOSes?
  4. Hello, I'm on an alienware m17 r4 and am trying mod my vbios for a 970m 3GB msi. I've managed to get the max boost with an increase in voltage, however I believe my voltage settings maybe unstable. When attempting to load programs capable of high gpu usage capabilities, the gpu begins to become pretty unstable. would anyone be able to provide assistance? I have both my edited and original roms as well. *update I'm not sure how to delete this thread but disregard this please. I've figured out the issue.
  5. I cant seem to find any source to get an unlocked Vbios for my GTX 970m card. Can anyone help please? I want to get the most of my GPU and sadly the stock Vbios does not support too much overclocking Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Hi, I have an XMG u705 with the an í7 4790k, a Geforce GTX 980M 8GB, G-Sync Monitor, 32GB DDR3 RAM, etc. and I am damn annoyed by both the Mainboard Bios and Vbios, because both are the cause for a ton of driver issues under Windows 10. Also I can't use my lately bought Samsung 970 Evo, even though technically there should be nothing preventing it. Heck I was even able to install Windows 10 on it, because the Windows 10 installer detected it, just not the Bios which is logically why I cannot boot from it. -.- So in search of a solution, I searched the web and found out that there are several mods for both bios made by devs like Prema. Unfortunately some Bios mods I found are heavily outdated, unfinished, ... or not anywhere secure and I couldn't find any location where I could download Prema's Mods for this device, especially not on his Site (just a Subscribe banner there) or his older Wordpress site (errors). There is also nothing here under Downloads/Clevo/P77xZM. I would be really thankfull if someone could help me.

Flashing Overview: - Go to the device manager -> 'Display Adapters' -> chooser your GPU, right click on it and choose disable - Flash the VBIOS with mnvflash, a modified version of nvflash (see attachments). Below are detailed instructions for nvflash in case you aren't familiar with it. - After the flashing is done: Enable the GPU once again in the device manager. - Reboot Detailed Instructions: As soon as you see the command line you're ready to go, write dir and hit enter to display all the files on the USB drive. Display all Nvidia adapters in the system: nvflash -a or alternatively the longer version of the command: nvflash --list This command will return you a list with all Nvidia adapters present in your system. Here's an example output of this command run on my M15x with a 680m in it: NVIDIA Firmware Update Utility (Version 5.117) NVIDIA display adapters present in system: <0> N13E-GTX (10DE,11A0,1028,02A2) H:--:NRM B:02,PCI,D:00,F:00 The number in the <> brackets is the index of the corresponding device. SLI users will have more than one entry and flash each card separately. Backup your current VBIOS: Never forget to keep a backup of your original VBIOS before you flash anything non-stock. Use this command to save a copy of the firmware to your USB drive: nvflash -b filename.rom or with nvflash --save filename.rom Flash the VBIOS to your card(s): For a single card it's really straight forward, you don't need to worry about the adapter indices. Just use this command: nvflash -6 vbiosname.rom -6 will allow you to override mismatches of the PCI subsystem ID. In case of a mismatch you'll need to confirm the flash with 'y'. NOTE: Users with a non-US keyboard might need to press 'z' or similar, because the 'y' isn't at the same location for all keyboard layouts. SLI users will need to flash each card separately. The concept stays the same, but you will need to use the corresponding adapter index to flash a card. How to figure out the adapter nr. is described above. Flashing goes like this: nvflash -i[index] -6 vbios.rom [index] represents a number, namely the index you found with the 'nvflash -a' command. So a command example to flash a card which has index 0 is: 'nvflash -i0 -6 vbios.rom' Donation link In case you want to buy me a beer Thanks and cheers!

  12. I purchased a new HP Quadro K3100m from Ebay. The HP 8770w laptop I had is running with quadcore 3rd gen i7 processor and AMD Firepro M4000 graphics; with dual boot windows 10 and windows 7. I also bought a new heat sink, and thermal paste (Coolermaster) and thermal pads (GC Extreme) to use with the K3100. With the card installed, the laptop screen was blank but display was supported through the DP port, i checked it. Used Nvflash (dos version) to create a backup of the existing vbios. Then, flashed a dell vbios for k3100m with nvflash dos version, (using command:- nvflash -6 name.rom) and restarted. The display was only present in the laptop screen nos (not in DP port anymore); logged into windows 10, then installed Nvidia driver from the nvidia site - Optimal driver for enterprise for K3100m, installed it and re-started the machine. I got multiple flickering desktops (9-12) in the laptop screen. I restarted with windows 7, and removed amd driver and installed nvidia driver, got similar screen upon restart. After that I flashed the k3100m with another HP vbios, Since then, the laptop opens but black screen both in laptop screen as well as in DP port. I have not tried the VGA cable though since I do not have it. Can anybody guide me now 1. to blind flash the original backup HP vbios to the card? 2. a suitable vbios file to flash afterwards to make the new quadro k3100m to wok in my 8770w. I have attached the backup rom and two vbios rom used in my case. Thanks, BACKUP.ROM Dell.rom HP.rom
  13. My issue: one of the two 680M GPUs started displaying an "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". My hardware: Clevo P37EM / Sager NP9370 My OS: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB x64 I keep the OS always up-to-date (Windows LTSB only ships security and fix updates). I also have very few softwares installed. Basically, my computer was working normally, but today I was playing Overwatch (which I always play) and after some hours, I suddenly heard a Windows beep, the game froze and the computer restarted. When I was back at the desktop, I noticed the resolution was not right and then I opened the Device Manager to see that one of the 680M was giving a Error Code 43. Both GPUs appear on my BIOS setup, the BIOS correctly identifies them as 680M. I found it strange, so I check my GPU VBIOS and noticed something odd, one of them was at 80.04.33.00.10 and the other was at 80.04.67.00.01 (I get these drivers here). I know for a fact that since some older NVIDIA Driver, the VBIOS must be 80.04.33.00.10 or else I got some errors on this SAGER model, so I flash 33 on both a while back. I then proceeded to flash the correct version again. When I run DDU I notice it only detects the VBIOS version for one of the GPUs, the other one doesn't show the VBIOS version. My results are: NV Driver 398.36 ROM 33 PCI BUS 2 working PCI BUS 1 error code 43 ROM 67 PCI BUS 2 working PCI BUS 1 error code 43 NV Driver 391.35 ROM 33 PCI BUS 2 working PCI BUS 1 error code 43 ROM 67 PCI BUS 2 working PCI BUS 1 error code 43 Can a Nvidia update or Windows update brick a GPU? How can I know if it's a software or hardware issue? I'm afraid that one GPU died as I don't have the money to replace it now and it would be difficult to find a spare new 680M (which is now old hardware) where I live. I'm panicking a little...

  17. Hi at Techinferno My Clevo is a W350SS, and hoping to get some more power out of it so i can use it a year more, before getting a faster one. I cant find a suitable vbios for my gtx 860m - GM107 - Maxwell RevA2. I can find versions with higher core and memory, but i really need to unlock max TDP, and i need to be able to adjust voltage on the card. With max oc atm +135 core and 250 memory i am still under 70 celcius, so heat is not a issue. But the card drops out sometimes when i oc, because of lacking power. Also alot of the vbois i find is keppler,, and i am uncertain whether it will work or not. Hope someone here can help with their vast experience

  25. Hi, I started overclocking my laptop. Initially, the graphics card provided 601 MHz at core (900 mV voltage) and 1400 MHz at memory. By moddig the bios through the Kepler Tweaker, it was possible to overclock to 944 MHz at core (925 mV voltage) and 2310 MHz at memory. I want to reach 1 GHz by the core, but for this I need to raise the voltage. At a very high voltage, even without load, the fan will start to rustle, so I do not want to raise the voltage much. But there is an idiotic problem. When the temperature of 60 degrees is used, the video card discards 25 mV. This is Nvidia`s feature . In the stock, it drops from 925 to 900, now from 950 to 925. I want 950 constantly, but it's impossible to make through Kepler Tweaker. I saw reports that svl7`s BIOS mod does not have this problem, but anyway I can not download it. So may be somebody know how make right vbios mod.
