  1. Hi, I have an XMG u705 with the an í7 4790k, a Geforce GTX 980M 8GB, G-Sync Monitor, 32GB DDR3 RAM, etc. and I am damn annoyed by both the Mainboard Bios and Vbios, because both are the cause for a ton of driver issues under Windows 10. Also I can't use my lately bought Samsung 970 Evo, even though technically there should be nothing preventing it. Heck I was even able to install Windows 10 on it, because the Windows 10 installer detected it, just not the Bios which is logically why I cannot boot from it. -.- So in search of a solution, I searched the web and found out that there are several mods for both bios made by devs like Prema. Unfortunately some Bios mods I found are heavily outdated, unfinished, ... or not anywhere secure and I couldn't find any location where I could download Prema's Mods for this device, especially not on his Site (just a Subscribe banner there) or his older Wordpress site (errors). There is also nothing here under Downloads/Clevo/P77xZM. I would be really thankfull if someone could help me.
  2. I will be taking apart my laptop soon to clean it up a bit and apply some new thermal paste. Figured while I am trying to get some lower temps on my cpu and what I might give overclocking the GPU a try to squeeze out a little bit more perfomance out of them. Started looking around and found that the clocks have a hard limit on stock vbios. Was looking to unlock that and found these forums. Since I am in no hurry as of yet, the 1 week pre-promotion is a moot point for me at the moment. But honestly part of this post is to get promoted so I can download the files I want. Apart from that do you guys have tips or can you guide me to info on overclocking? I checked out some videos, the files I want to download come with instructions, so I should be good on that. However things like figuring out what the optimal overclocking settings are, what to look out for and what not. If you guys have tips on that please let me know. If anyone else has the same model/gpu as mine; I would appreciate any tips! Thanks, Fatih

    P771ZM Issues

Hi there, I recently bought a 17.3" P771zm Clivo laptop and I have a few issues with it which I need to solve. First - The pc doesn't reboot...I've only just discovered this issue after solving another problem with the finger-print scanner driver which required me to reboot the pc. Anyway, the pc shuts down fine, but if I select reboot, windows says restarting, the screen goes black and the lights on the keyboard stay lit but it doesn't reboot. I've waited 20 minutes for it to reboot before but i got impatient and turned it off at the switch. I'm not too sure why it does this... Second - Overclocking. I know laptops aren't meant for overclocking but I found it ridiculous when I found that similar spec laptops with 970m's have clock speeds of 924MHz. Mine is clocked at 540MHz and it wont let me overclock for some reason. I know nvidias latest drivers don't allow for overclocking so I rolled back to 344.75 and I still can't overclock. applying the values in afterburner don't work. Do you think it has a locked bios or something? Third - The POST screen doesn't display any buttons to access the bios, I've tried multiple keys including delete which is the most common. I bought the PC from .PC Specialist'. > Here's a image of my gpu (right) and someone elses 970m (Left) Gyazo - 6a44f7c8e6136cd61b94b580af191daf.png Here are my specs: gyazo.com/4ac91526dba0ae844e27187ace717b4a Thanks in advance, Sean.
