Hey :-) My GFX just broke (hd6990m) I was playing a game when all of a sudden the screen turns black, i reboot and rejoins the game. After about 30 sec my screen is all messed up. showing one half right, and the other half wrong on the screen. Then it goes black again. I reboot, and when the windows logo finish loading it just turn black. I boot up in safe mode and deletes my gtx drivers, this helps. But when i reinstall them the problem occur again. i tryed getting older versions but its the same outcome. Ive tryed a fresh install of OS (w7) but as soon as i reboot after installing a Gfx driver So.. My question to you guys is that, what possibilites do i have when thinking of replacing the card with the same or even a better one? im not interessted in spending over 400 $ and it have to be from EU. (tax etc) Ive been looking at this card New NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M 2GB DDR5 MXM 3 0 Type B for Clevo Alienware | eBay But will it work in my Clevo p150hm ?

Hi! As topic says one of my gtx580m burned (literally flashed and smoked when we tested it with dell technician) so now I am without the primary card. Even though the secondary 580m is still in my bios doesn't see any card besides Intel Sandy Bridge which is obviously integrated IntelHD. Now when i tried to run my system, windows loads, but I can't get to the desktop cause all I get is a white screen. It's the same on safe mode and even when I tried to run Linux from the USB. Is there any option to change integrated graphics as my primary without getting on windows for fn+f7? It's white screen all the time... Any ideas? Thanks, Tycjan.

sooo first of all thank u J95 , for your support and ur advice i really appreciate that v much and thank u chiefulefor staring ur thread and ur feedback it was inspiring so some of u know about my bad luck with my gtx 780M which i bought recently from eurocom i was upgrading my m18X R1 from gtx 460M to this beautiful 780M , i got a sick dying GPU previously anyways to not go out of topic i got it replaced and i did some benchmarks and here is the results of the tests and the temperatures Note :- i'm using the 240 W AC and the 75W heatsink with new thermo pads NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2820QM Processor,Alienware M18xR1 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2820QM Processor,Alienware M18xR1 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2820QM Processor,Alienware M18xR1 so far i got minimum of 32 deg and maximum of 72 deg but i'm still worried about the card , i mean the tempreture . i know this tempretures ave good but what i don't know is that which parts the sensor getting the temperature from ? beacuse maybe there is another parts more hotter then this and i cant know that right ?! second thing is this black chips in the picture need any thermo pads ? because i didnt apply any
