  1. I tried the Intel Rapid Storage before I modified my BIOs without any luck. If it is only limited by the BIOs, then would it work correctly now with the modded 2.02? Is it better than using Expresscache?
  2. The Y500 comes with a 120W adapter, but for major OCing and SLI mode you need to get the 170W adapter from Lenovo.
  3. The Intel Rapid Storage does not work on the Y500, as the Y500 does not support RAID setup from the BIOs. In order to use the mSATA caching, you need to use Expresscache provided on the Lenovo site. 4. Oh lord, I got it now. I don't understand how I missed it. It's morning now, perhaps late night tired induced witlessness? 1080p screen makes things too small? I didn't have my glasses on? *cough*
  5. Nope, I got that. I'm talking about turning the write protection off using the -r command. Otherwise it gives you a write error when you try to flash?
  6. Erp, seriously? I read it all twice, and the nvFlash guide. Eeeeeerrrr, whoops. EDIT: Honestly, I can't find see it? Am I that blind?
  7. Another successful go here! svl7, thank you kindly! Perhaps it'd be good to include a note about turning protection off for flashing the SLI card? It was a stumbling block until I remembered someone mentioning it. Cheers!
  8. Okay, gotcha, it wasn't really clear as to what he wanted, and when you edited your post it moved my response stating that back up! Thanks!
  9. Oh, perhaps I misunderstood? Your post doesn't say if you need it for an SSD (which I know nothing about), or for mSATA caching.

  11. Actually, looking at my battery, it seems to be 72W. Trying to run a GT650m off that at full speed would kill it quick and dead.
  12. I'm new to this SLI thing, where would you find that setting?
  13. One would think that it may be extremely obvious that your tiny 65W battery isn't going to power the SLI machine you need a 170W adapter for... Or even 120W without SLI... *shrug*
