Yes i agree with you guys. I think the trackpad is where they cut costs. It feels like it'll break easily. Sways when you click on it. And the response is just horrible. Using the 2 finger scrolling is indeed useful since click-dragging on this is really bad. I would highly recommend using a mouse. The y580's trackpad is better. To me the Y500's trackpad feels like a cheap imitation of the apple macbook pro's trackpad.

I use a Razer Blackshark. It looks like a classic helicopter headset. The mic sounds good, very good isolation on the ear cups also. Very comfortable to wear. I wear it for hours without issues. The mic is removable which is a nice option. Sound is really clear but it is very bass heavy. The low frequency is very prominent on this one. I prefer a very balanced sound so I use a software EQ to tune it. As is though it is perfect for games and movies. Use some plugins to make your mic sound like a radio and it's pretty cool

Ey guys. I'm Celos. Another new guy here. I used to have a desktop and decided to get rid of it in exchange for a Lenovo Y500 SLI. Decided to switch since my work always puts me on the road and this seemed more practical. These days laptops are pretty powerful already. Looking forward to contributing to this community. Thanks.
