  1. I read in MSI forum some time ago that a primary drive should be put in the slot besides the GPU. And don't forget to recheck the setting that it is AHCI not RAID.
  2. I think you should go with Radeon 7970m or 8970m as I saw someone in the other forum succeeded upgrading. You can research from this thread "Need help with HD7970M on MSI GX740" in this forum.
  3. Have any body mentioned "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" It is about a Hi-tech soldier trying to save the world. To me, It is a FPS with the best graphics. It used 2,500 MB of VRAM for a high setting, sync and 1xSMAA. You guys should try.
  4. There was a thermal compound test results in some other forum and it found that Arctic Silver 5 is among the best better than MX4 a bit by 3 celsius degrees.I personally use MX-4 for cost conscious alone.
  5. I currently use "Lenovo ThinkPad T440s" for my office task. I like it a lot as it weighs about 1.7 kg for a 14-inch notebook!!The most important is that it carries all the necessary ports for office tasks including Docking port, SD card reader and even a smart card reader. The i5-4200U option is around $1,200.However, I suggest "Acer Travelmate P645" as an alternative option. It's also a 14-inch notebook but lighter with weight around 1.5kg along with all the normal and plus options that T-440s got, and it has NFC to communicate with your phone or other cutting edge devices. It costs $200-300 more than the T-440s though.

  7. I would suggest Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro as you will get to test the new Core M (Broadwell-Y). The 3,200x1,800-touch-screen of the Yoga is very clear too. It also comes with 256GB SSD and "build-in keyboard". All this will cost you around 1,300 USD. For the Surface Pro, It is still stick with the old Haswell which will gradually migrate out of the market during Q1-Q2 2015. The comparable Surface Pro 3 to the Lenovo Yoga Pro 3 is the Core i5 with 256 GB and 8GB of RAM BUT!! without Type Cover. The Type Cover will cost you 129 USD additionally. In total you need to pay 1,428 USD for the Surface option. My friends who own the Surface Pro 3 also told me about a throttling problem due to Haswell-Y is still too hot for a very thin chassis. If you prefer the design of Surface. I think you should wait for Surface Pro 4 with Broadwell-Y. Goodluck with your choice.
