    Hi Klem,

I have a Lenovo Y50-70. I am trying to replace my wifi card with M.2 NVME SSD using an adapter.

The SSD is showing in windows but it is not showing as a bootable device in bios.

I have tried tinkering with the advanced bios options as well as normal bios option but to no avail.

Can modding my bios and removing whitelisting help my bios recognizing SSD? Or is there any other way to add NVME support to bios?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi!

Send me your bios backup (dump), I'l can take a look.

    Hi!

In Lenovo G580 (20157), any modified bios can be flash with using hardware SPI programmer only. Exactly the same as described in the first post of this thread:

Also, to create your bios backup (dump), you need read bios chip using hardware SPI programmer.

    Hi!

The restriction on the use of non-original batteries is in the EC firmware (not in the BIOS), but I don't work with EC firmware.

Can you help me with my Lenovo y50-70 bios ?

    1. Removed whitelist for upgrade Wi-Fi card.

    2. Unhidden additional menus and settings in Bios setup menu.

    3. Unlock vbios

    I want to install this wifi card "AX200NGW WLAN/Wi-Fi 6 M.2 2230 2x2
    M.2/A-E-Key, Wi-Fi 6 AX200, 2.4GHz/5GHz
Bluetooth 5.1, M.2/A-E-Key 802.11ax" and gives me this error "Unauthorized Wireless network card is plugged in. Power off and remove it".

    Thanks advance!!!

    Hi!

    1. I would like to have the advanced Menus
    2. I would like to select the amount of VRAM
    3. If it is possible I would like to select as primary card the AMD
    4. If it is possible, I would like you to make the AMD compatible to UEFI Mode..

    Hi!

    1. Yes, it is possible.

    2. Yes, it is possible, but don't try set amount of VRAM (DVMT-prealloc more than 96MB or 128MB)!

If you set amount of VRAM more than 96MB or 128MB, then laptop break and can't start! In this case you will need to recover your bios with hardware SPI programmer device.

    3. No, it is impossible. If you select the AMD graphic card as primary card, then laptop break and can't start! In this case you will need to recover your bios with hardware SPI programmer device.

    4. No, it is impossible.

Please read the first post of this thread, I can unlock WLAN and WWAN whitelist for upgrade Wi-Fi card, and unlock hidden advanced settings in bios setup menu.

    thanks in advance

    Hi!
Each bios mod prepare individually and based on your personal file backup of bios.
You can post here your file backup of bios, I can take a look.
To create backup of bios you can use attached backup tool. Extract attached archive directly on the Desktop and run backup tool as Administrator (right click mouse). Program will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Post here  this archive "results" or upload it into any fileserver and post the link.
