Currently I've installed the Wifi Card otherwise the system won't boot.

Again, what kind of error did you get if you install Intel AC 9260 Wi-Fi Card?

Using BackupTools (I previously had) to make a file backup of BIOS is giving a read/write error.

Some read/write errors - it is normal for Backup Tool, in any case you should get archive results.rar

    Hi Klem

I recently changed the Mobo of my Lenovo Y50-70 cuz previous one became faulty. Now again, support for Intel AC9260 Wifi Card is out :(

    Please help unlock the BIOS.
I tried making file backup of the BIOS from the BackupToolsv12_2.exe file previously shared, but it's giving strange read/write error.
    Please help!!!

    Hi!

In Lenovo G700, any modified bios can be flash using hardware SPI programmer only, exactly the same as described in the first page of this thread.

So, for creating backup (dump) of bios you need to use hardware SPI programmer only.

Not yet, but I have ordered a display that I assume won't have working brightness control since it doesn't have a compatible FRU.

Ok. When you already receive your new display and install it in your laptop, then let me know. Because for such a BIOS modification, we will need some information from the EDID chip of the new display.

    Hi!

Lenovo G400 with HM76 chipset already support CPU  i7 3612QM by default. So no need any bios modifications.

    Try this algorithm:
    1) remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS Battery
    2) remove HDD and all RAM DIMMs
    3) install new CPU
    4) wait 10 mins
    5) press and hold power button for 30 sec.
    6) install CMOS Battery and one DIMM only, inject AC jack (without Main Battery!)
    7) try to boot your laptop.

    For your G400,

Lenovo CPU recommended upgrade based from your hardware manual (no.8 page 82) as follows:

    Intel I7-3632QM 2.2G E1 6M 4cPGA processor (G400/G500)
    part number :102500437
    Intel I7-3612QM 2.1G E1 6M 4cPGA processor (G400/G500)
    part number 102500290

    Intel I7-3520M 2.9G L1 4M 2cPGA processor (G400/G500)

    part number 102500295

hello I have a lenovo g500 laptop and I wanana conect e gpu. can you help me with this

    Hi!

You can post here your bios backup (bios dump). To create bios backup use attached utility. Extract attached archive directly on the Desktop and run utility as Administrator (right click mouse, choice "Run as Administrator"). Utility will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Post here this archive "results", or upload it into any fileserver and post the link.

    Hello,

I have a lenovo B590 and I want to remove wifi whitelist and battery check from its EC.

Is it possible and what software should I use to create a BIOS backup? Can someone explain also how should I install the patched BIOS?

    Thanks in advance

    EDIT:

I used Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0 and this is the generated file: https://file.io/UuEIYpnvmQyv

    Hi!

Battery check placed in EC firmware (not in BIOS). But I don't work with EC firmware.
