Hi! In Lenovo G580 (20157), any modified bios can be flash with using hardware SPI programmer only. Exactly the same as described in the first post of this thread: Also, to create your bios backup (dump), you need read bios chip using hardware SPI programmer.

Hi! The restriction on the use of non-original batteries is in the EC firmware (not in the BIOS), but I don't work with EC firmware.

Hi!Each bios mod prepare individually and based on your personal file backup of bios.You can post here your file backup of bios, I can take a look.To create backup of bios you can use attached backup tool. Extract attached archive directly on the Desktop and run backup tool as Administrator (right click mouse). Program will create archive "results" directly on the Desktop. Hi! This thread only for Lenovo G580 (20150) and (2189), G480, G780 model. In your case with Lenovo G580 (2689, 20157), any modified bios can be flash with using hardware SPI programmer only. Exactly the same as described in the first post of this thread: Also, to create your bios backup (dump), you need read bios chip using hardware SPI programmer.

Hi! Post here your file backup of bios, I can take a look. For creating backup of bios use attached utility. Download and extract attached archive Backup.rar directly on the Desktop. Then run the command file dump.bat as Administrator (right click mouse, choice "Run as Administrator"). Utility will create file dump.rom. Upload it into any fileserver and send me the link.
