  13. Hi there, I bought a KZ-B26 to test for my X220 to see if this mastered PCi-E 2.0. Since the Lenovo x220 has a whitelist, I get a BIOS version 1.39 without whitelist, this also works without problems. The problem is that the ePGU not want to work with my KZ-B26 , I get the error 43 and also tried to switch to PCI-e 1.0 and to PCI-e 2.0, but is not help.   15. No it's not posible to setup a x3 link, there only x1, x2, x4, x8 and x16 Link's. And why Nvidia technology the Optimus work only with Intel iGPU and a x1 link, is a good question what interests me, too.   17. Hi everybody, I wanted to ask if anyone has already tried his EGPU with Linux? Not to play but an external monitor to operate. I have tried it and it upset my Linux system. So I wanted to ask here first before I try this again. Without doing anything does not start Linux. It is suggested if I start the EGPU no later driver.   21. No, I use a PE4L with a Expresscard and I have PCI-e 2.0 ... But I must warn you, I have hear that Call of Duty is the only game that has "Problems" with the eGPU. The limited bandwidth, I think, is the problem of the low performance.
  22. I think a performance difference between pe4h and pe4l when on pci 1.0/1.1 you don't found. The different between PCI-e 1.0/1.1 and PCI-e 2.0 are 88% to 99% (eGPU = x1.2 Opt. and x1.1 = x1.1 Opt. )... I Think It's more the 88% as the 99%, because there are the GPU limited.
  23. Yes, you can use PCI-e 2.0 if you would have a PE4L, the PE4H support only PCI-e 1.1/1.0... And forget Optimus, this is a technology for Nvidia graphic cards that compress the graphic data by a x1 connection and allow you use the Laptop display.... Oh you have a second edit ^^°....
  24. @Robert Garland Ok, if your Laptop never detected the GPU i think your Expresscard in your Laptop is broken. The power I refer to the Power of the Expresscard Slot, I think this is the reasion why the red LED shine/not shine if all work. Don't forget that the Expresscard has a PCI-e and a USB 2.0 connection, if you test the Expresscard. But It's strange that your eGPU don't work at your friend's X230T, have you look if they have detected the GPU and could you read the GPU information with GPU-Z? I have there "PCI-E 2.0 x16 @ x1 2.0" -> this makes a x1.2 connection. And if you can use your Laptops Display with your eGPU you have Optimus.
