  1. Could you make a voltmod based on svl7 "2.07" Unlocked Bios with voltages 1.135 or 1.140 Much appreciated. Also, is there a donation link anywhere for the help

Hey , Sorry i had exams i have done what you ask for :-

Here is Voltmod Based on svl7 "2.07" Unlocked Bios Voltage 1.135 "https://mega.co.nz/#!d44CnRwD!yOFpcX8eZDBoN4xWiGwhFotmerClahYmWg6gc-PiBug"

Here is Voltmod Based on svl7 "2.07" Unlocked Bios Voltage 1.140 "https://mega.co.nz/#!NpRmzAST!cGEVLkyJNh8nJTpGzmbpm-rCkSXoJuO52YPI-T9ZkyU"

I'm sorry for the stupid question, but for those who are completely Hardware Illiterate, what exactly does increasing voltage do?

Increasing voltage helps you achieve higher clocks for your gpu = more fps in games = more temperature sadly , Its Pushing your gpu beyond its limits for extra 10~15% Performance .

After overlocking to 1,125 V I'm having a visual issue sometimes whenever I play a game, for example League of legends or Tera, theres some kind of visual bug like in LoL i often see as if the textures are tearing for a moment, in Tera while moving the camera i can see constant flashing of lights and stuff, thats not normal :< any solutions? Tried going back to defaults but can't force insydeflash to downgrade

    1) Just download this platform file https://mega.co.nz/#!phAAhQKK!pYk5AM8JF_1tVZ9HxlUBojnialTVkCH8UUdqcZRP37M .

    2) Download svl7 "2.07" Unlocked Bios .

    3) Copy the platform file that you downloaded earlier and paste it in svl7 bios folder and overwrite the file and it should allow you to install or downgrade whatever version you want.

Hi, I'm sorry for my english. please do vbios nothottrling 1.25 Ghz.Thank you<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

hey , i cant help you with that because i dont know how beside if i removed throttling your gpu will die , it only throttle when it reaches 90+C if it didnt throttle your gpu will get damaged .

  2. Hello guys, I've been lurking for the past 30 or so minutes and came to conclusion that I didn't find any instructions anywhere, so I figured I'd register and ask.I'd like to undervolt my y510p CPU ( and if possible GPU ), in some not-so-intensive games like WoW I've been experiencing needless (over?)heating which I'm sure could be solved by dropping voltage a bit ( it's nothing too bad, all i7 cores running on 75 celsius, and GPU running at 77 @ 1.025 v ), and I've been searching for means to do it. If anyone could offer some insight, that'd be great :)

I Can Do It For You , If You Want Just Give Me Your Bios I Will Do It For You (GPU) , For The CPU You Will Need Unlocked Bios Then You Can Edit It Manually Through Power Configuration In The Bios , Cheerio

  3. Hi, thank you very much for your work. I used the 1.125V bios update and it worked well. I just have a question. Does overvolting using bios in this thread disable NVIDIA Optimus? My GPU apparently always active now at 1.125 V. It's not really a big deal but I'm just curious Thanks.

Yeah :( , Though There Is a way to increase dynamic voltage up to 1.125V without forcing it as constant voltage , am not that expert thought i cant do it , i can only force any voltage you want :)

  4. When you say that the rest of the stuff doesn't work with Kepler BIOS editor for mobile GPUs, did you mean that you'd be unable to make the actual changes in Kepler BIOS modder because they are unavailable to change (greyed out),

    OR

did you mean that you can make the actual changes on there but they won't stick/potentially brick your laptop?

The reason I ask this is because I'm using Kepler BIOS tweaker, and IIRC, I wasn't able to change much of anything when I used an older version of this tool. I became interested in this to try again, and when I opened "D2333ED3-4EA4-46CD-9DB2-41EEB6E8E158" in the kepler tool, the voltage section was not greyed out and tweakable. Am I mistaken or will changing this, re-attaching it to main bios, and then flashing it brick my laptop?

No , It Wont Change Even If U Changed It Using Kepler It Wont Be Applied Dont Worry , As @schranzmaster Said You Must Mod It Using Old School .

  5. wanted to see if I could "unlock" the vbios so that I could change voltage in software like in nvidia inspector. If I can't do that then I was gonna make a bunch of different voltage BIOS's. Having to flash a different BIOS just to change the voltage is a real pain..

Hey, Am trying to do this for over 2 weeks none has worked tell now my y580 bricked more than 4 times :/ and i recover it still there maybe a way am taking the vbios of gtx 660 desktop version and see the voltage part how it was written and try to do the same with gtx 660m with old school editing well wish me luck and no more bricks i hope :)

  6. Dunno what you're referring to, but if you don't mind shit getting a little complicated then have a look at: nVIDIA mobile Kepler 6xx MASTER overclocking guide. Workaround for max clocks/OC stability.

A few things should be noted if you have a go at this guide:

    1. When Mobius talks about forcing P-State 2, you want to do force P-State 5 instead.
    2. When you're forcing P5, there is a < 5% performance loss, but that's probably negligible. I have no idea why this happens, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the VBIOS.
      • GPU-Z && nvidia inspector also show the 660m using PCIe 2.0 on P5, while on default (P0, under load) it's on PCIe 3.0.

The only reason I do this is because my clocks constantly downclock, to 405 core / memory seems to stay same, under moderate/heavy load and this seems to be my only solution. That is, until ErYani is done modding my BIOS, which hopefully fixes this. I didn't test it, but it might also be because it's over volted to 1.175 which I've been too lazy to lower it down a bit. If anyone has a clue on this, please help =)

    Are you using v2.07 or v.8.0 ?

if v2.07 make sure your temp dont go over 89C if so it downclock it self to 405

am currently using v.207 @1.1675V currently @1300 core 3100 mem , and it doesnt clock down , when i boot its @1000 core @3000mem , i overclock +300 for gpu

using nvdia inspector , i modified the bios so what it does is doesnt go below 1000 @ core and can go up to 1300 depending on usage no matter what temps are!

if your interested here its Nitrobits.com - Download Y580_v2.07_660mGHz_OV-1,67V.rar it Will Never Go at lower Clock Than 1000 @ core , but remember , Lenovo dynamic graphics profile must be using ohh btw overclock it using Nvdia inspector DONT change the profile or froce new one using nvdia inspector! , and its dynamic clocks just remember it wont jump to 1300 unless it needs to , the default is 1000 @ core 3000@ mem , this bios for v207 only , Peace out.

  7. I flashed the 1.15 vbios and it is a little too hot for me to handle/control. Would it be safe to flash the 1.125 vbios over the 1.15 vbios using the same method I used to flash the 1.15 vbios or is there another procedure I should do to down volt it.

I'm not sure if this is worth mentioning, but I previously had svl7's 2.07 unlocked bios and flashed your 1.15 overvolted bios afterwards.

TLDR; do i just flash the 1.125 vbios on my y580, which is currently using the 1.15 vbios, or do I need to do something special?

EDIT: Just to be (since I'm not always) clear, I went from:

    ORIG 2.0x Y580 bios ----> svl7's Unlocked 2.06 BIOS ----> svl7's Unlocked2.07 BIOS ---->

    ErYani's 1.15 VBIOS (located: http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/3926-gtx-660m-y580-overvoltage-increase-clocks-you-can-request-any-vbios-am-up-%3D.html#post55348)

    [and now I want to] ----> ErYani's 1.125 VBIOS

I've seen a lot of 1.15v bios in this thread but they all seem to be only for bios versions 8.0x

    Download Link :- "http://www.uploadmb.com/dw.php?id=1372379820" <----------- This Is '1.125V' For svl7's Unlocked 2.07 Bios
