  1. Would say Origin gives a better deal, Alienware if you (like me) need the support and warranty.
  2. Haha my temperatures in singapore (pretty much sea level) are hot as hell, while in melbourne, higher up, is cooler. Depends on temperature of surroundings more than anything I'd say.
  3. Quick question, why was the overclocking the crossfire 5870m using rivatuner bit removed? Used that guide some time back, but reformatted and now need to do it again, believe this was the place I got it from but can't seem to find it anywhere now. Does it no longer work or can anyone link me to it? Thanks.
  4. What I would really like to see is a 4xHD sterio 3d alienware. 20 inch, or even 22. Then, give us desktop CPUs with quite possibly desktop graphics to go with it, though cpu more important (origin is already doing that). Judging by how think Razer's laptop is, I know they *can* make everything fit for the size of the m17x if they wanted to. Therefore a 22 inch shouldn't be a problem. Huge I know, but that's the point. A screen that actually goes to the edge, not an inch of casing around the actual screen. Wouldn't actually be much bigger, considering they could already put a 19" in a m18x.
  5. Actually using AMD, but would say I prefer nvidia due to *generally* more support, though this one is debatable. Just that in experience I encounter less problems with nvidia and they run cooler.
  6. I use the CoolerMaster U2 for my alienware m17x. Had it for 2 years now and apparently still going strong, though I've had to vacuum it a few times due to dust buildup. Decreases temps by about 5-8c, so imo worth it. Cost about $60, which compared with the generic ones, is a bit pricy. I like it because you can put the fans directly under my laptop's fans. However I tried it on a laptop without bottom vents and still saw a 5c reduction in GPU temps, so guess it doesn't really matter.
  7. Gameplay itself is pretty fun, but I don't really like the non gold based. I know some people prefer it that way, but perhaps making gold harder to attain would have been a better solution to bartering. I mean, this doesn't really allow for a very advanced economy... just my 2c
  8. considering your budget, methinks you should consider the grado sr80i. Cost me $120 and works quite well for general all purpose. The 60i isn't bad either but seeing it's just $20 less, might as well get the 80i.
  9. Using razer deathadder, 6400dpi but I use 5000. But on second thought wish I got the naga, cos now I'm outta buttonz
