Formatted and went back to Windows 7 and no longer have the hdmi issues.

Running NVDIA driver 313.96 I am having some issues with my 24in LG monitor going black every few minutes.Using same monitor via DVI to my desktop I have no issues, wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this, I have tried rolling the NVIDIA drivers back to official release and 1 release back and get the same issue. The problem is most prevalent after waking the display. -Cy

I recently upgraded to Windows 8. The first thing I did was disable UAC and change the default desktop to "classic shell". Thus far I have not noticed any major performance hits while gaming, FPS in SWTOR/SCII are pretty much the same as what I got with Windows 7.

Greetings, I am looking to upgrade the memory from 4gb to the maximum and for the life of me I cannot find any official documentation on the dell website that provides specs on the maximum the m14x R1 will support. I've caught a few posts on other sites suggesting 16gb PC1600 worked for them however I am skeptical. Has anyone successfully added 16gb, if so what brand did you use? The second thing I am planning to upgrade is the HDD to a SSD. -Cy

I've had some serious overheating issues with my M14x R1. I am considering getting a nice laptop cooling base.
