  1. Was wondering if there was a general fix for Error 28? I'm getting the same thing... EDIT: Was forgetting to run prr.exe . Works perfect so far! Can't wait to throw my 6205 in. Thanks so much!
  2. I use an older MS Intellimouse 1.1 Optical (w/ a Steelpad QCK+), but I have it overclocked to 500HZ sample rate - makes it 1000% better in my opinion. Guide for W7 is here: How to Increase USB Sample Rate in Windows Vista/7 I don't believe there is one out for Windows 8 yet, unfortunately...
  3. While we're on the topic, has anyone else experienced some FPS "stuttering" with GTX660M? Hopefully overclocking it will fix it. But, like okaybr said, a vbios would definitely be nice :]
  4. Mine says 1.131, so I'm assuming it's normal, though it does seem a tiny bit high.
  5. This was an old post... I believe most of the issues regarding flashing are resolved, as the BIOS for Windows 8 was released (the one that shipped with the newer configurations of the Y580). Please correct me if I'm wrong. Will be flashing this weekend if all goes well.
  6. Been using the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical 1.1 Special Edition for ages now. zowie IO 1.1 Professional Gaming Bundle - Microsoft IO1.1 Black Optical Mouse, Mouse Bag and MousePad - Newegg.com I don't know if they carry it anywhere any more, but I certainly recommend it.
  7. I have the Y580 and it's awesome. I love pretty much everything about it (except the wireless card, which I've replaced). It runs Diablo 3 and SC2 like a charm so far. Very fast boot up time. If you do get it, definitely go for a cooling tray. Make sure you get the one with the FHD screen as well. Hope that was helpful.
  8. Anyone have any information as to the best-working drivers for stock WiFi card? Also, what would be the best WiFi card to replace the 2200 with? I have heard of some people buying the 6205/6300... Is there a list of confirmed-to-work replacement WiFi cards? Would like to be sure before I buy one. Sorry for the novice questions. Thanks.
