  1. If I'm getting consistent lockups/crashes almost always in the same spot in 3dmark...and NO weird visual anomalies...does this mean I might be a candidate for a higher voltage bios? Im using the 1.0V now. Problem is, the system remains crashy even at low overclocks: +210/+162. What do you think?
  2. Hmmm. Got some unexpected instability at low clocks...any ideas? Im using the Clevo +1.0V vbios in an SLI clevo setup (AW m18x). Clocks are only at +198/+178 and I am getting some hard lockups/crashes. Temps are fine. I have OC'd my 2920XM using the Mr. Fox method, so I assume that is sound. Any ideas?
  3. Thanks svl7...is +500 for the memory clock a good target for your vbios with no boost? What's a target memory clock for 1.0V?
  4. Hey all - I understand that base clocks for the 680M are: 720MHz / 1800MHz. Are these the base clock points that we should OC from? Just wondering because my 680s idle closer to 800MHz and I have had some instability at low OCs. Also, what are expected upper end/stable OC points for both the shader and memory clocks for the OV1000 vbios? I use Clevos on an AW M18x. Thanks!
  5. Thank you svl7 for clarifying. Stability has been a concern...seems like when I get to around +180 gpu clock / +175 memory clock 3dmark crashes hard requiring a reboot (well Ive done that twice anyway). Games seem to run OK. Would you guys expect that crash in 3dMark at that level of OC? I'm using svl7's unlocked Clevo vbios. A key bit of knowledge I'll admit I don't understand are the stock clocks for the 680s - like what they are ;-). If someone could let me know that, I'd be grateful. Let me know if I should move this to the Kepler thread....
  6. Hey all - great thread! OK, I'm suffering from a little noobishness here, and appreciate advice on some simple items. 1) The original post by Widezu69 suggests an MSI Vbios. I'm using Clevo 4GB 680s in SLI...should I be using an MSI BIOS, or go for a Clevo vBIOS? 2) I think there are appropriate updated versions of both the Clevo and the MSI BIOS in sv17's Keplar OC thread. Problem is, I don't know which ones to choose...should I just go for the Clevo or MSI vbios that is marked 1.025v (because that is the voltage of the one posted by Widezu69)? And if so, will the vbios's posted by sv17 be clocked to the 915/1125(2250) Mhz rate mentioned by Widezu69? Thanks for considering these questions!
  7. Ah yes I see - thank you - missed that bit!
  8. Hi All, I am trying to complete this flash on an AW M18xR1. I got a weird warning after entering the flash command and decided to abort. It was "Warning: firmware image PCI subsystem ID (10DE.0964) does not match adapter PCI Subsystem (1028.048F). Press Y to override PCI Subsystem ID." Is this message here because the 680M is not native on the M18xR1, because the modded vbios is MSI (I think), or perhaps another reason? Do you believe it is safe to continue with the flash? Thanks.
